Stampin’ Up! Little Dreamers Inn the Countryside New Baby Card

Good morning!  Know what today is??  It’s Monday, yes.  BUT – it’s ALSO T-1 to the END of two amazing specials!  The first is the so-amazing-it’s-cray-cray Starter Kit special – be SURE to check it out down below and then…give me a shout if you have any questions.  It’s such a great deal and there is ZERO down-side!  I promise!  The second thing – pretty awesome (but not as awesome as the Starter Kit special!) is my Paper & Packaging Special!  You can check THAT out down below, too! Now, my card for today!  I decided to make a new baby congrats card – in preparation for needing one in January! (🥰🥰🥰🎉🎉🎉) You know – cuz I need to practice these things! 😎 I used the Little Dreamers bundle and some pretty Countryside Inn DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And the colors – which are pretty perfect for a baby boy! – are from the Color Throwdown Challenge!

I started by adhering a piece of Countryside Inn DSP onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Stampin’ Seal+.   Then I adhered the whole thing to a Calypso Coral mat for the card front.

I embossed a smaller piece of Very Vanilla in the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder, matted it on Calypso Coral and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal+.

I cut two narrow strips from some more Countryside Inn DSP and snipped banner ends with my Paper Snips.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.

On another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the totes-adorbs hefalump from Little Dreamers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored him with Balmy Blue AND Boho Blue Stampin’ Blends (colored him all over with the Light Balmy Blue – then colored him again with the Light Boho Blue Blend) and cut him out with his coordinating die!

I colored his tail-tuft with the Light Calypso Coral Blend – then adhered him to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Little Dreamers sentiment in Calypso Coral ink.  Then I cut it out with the next-to-largest Nested Essentials rectangle die.

I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the cloud dies in the Little Dreamers set, I cut out three clouds from polka-dot Vellum Basics Specialty DSP and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Seal+.  The Seal “disappears” behind the vellum! 🙂

Across the bottom – I added five Very Vanilla Classic Matte Dots – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Little Dreamers in Calypso Coral on a Very Vanilla panel.  I added some Boho Blue stars, too!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Boho Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got some Boho Blue stars on the front…

…and more of the Countryside Inn DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  That elephant in Little Dreamers is so so adorable – but he’s just ONE of the cute critters in the set.  It’s the perfectly perfect bundle for welcoming new tiny humans into the world!  I also love the Countryside Inn DSP – and I’m so happy with how well it works for this kind of card, aren’t you?!
