Stamps-N-Lingers FUNDRAISER for MAUI!

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Friday again and we’re headed into the weekend!  Do you have something fun planned?  Hope so!

Now – if you’ve been watching the news AT ALL – you’ve seen or heard about the absolute devastation that is happening on Maui right now.  Wildfires have been raging…I hope by the time this posts that they have some control over it, but – 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️….and have essentially destroyed the historical town of Lahaina.

My heart has been breaking for the people – who have died or lost their homes, their businesses, or their family members.  And – as always – I worry intensely about the animals and the pets who lived there.

I can’t really get on a plane and go help and – I’d seriously do more harm than good if I DID – so…all I have is money to give.  I’ve already made one monetary donation thru Greater Good but…decided that I want to do MORE!  And – hope that y’all will help me!

So – I’m kicking off a fundraiser – but it’s going to be VERY short-lived – I feel like money needs to be donated NOW!! The effort will run from now thru Midnight Eastern on Sunday, 13 Aug!

I’ll be sending our collective donation to iHeart Dogs – an organization that I’ve been giving to for a pretty long time now.  They work thru the Greater Good Charity.  Here’s what they say:

“Maui is burning – Unprecedented wildfires intensified by terrifying hurricane winds are ripping through the island. Innocent lives, both human and pets, are in GRAVE DANGER right this moment. They are crying out for help as we know right now that 36 people have tragically lost their lives. Unfortunately, we know that there may be more lives lost – both pets and people. Local medical facilities are reaching breaking points. Brave firefighters, fighting against all odds, are stretched thin and desperately trying to combat the raging inferno. The situation is so dire, residents, in a desperate bid for survival, were plunging into the ocean to elude the relentless flames.
