Stampin’ Up! Textured Earthen Elegance for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a great sketch to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The Earthen Elegance Suite has been one of my faves since I first saw the catalog, so I was looking forward to using it for the first time!  Today is the day!!  I used the gorgeous Earthen Elegance DSP as the perfect backdrop for the beautiful die cuts and sentiments from the Earthen Textures bundle.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I selected some elements for my card based on the ideas in the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week. I used Banner – Ribbon – Purple and Ribbon – Dry Emboss – Free. 🙂

I started by embossing a panel of the Earthen Elegance DSP in the uber-wunnermus Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I adhered the panel to the front of my Gray Granite card base using Liquid Glue.

Using the Next-to-Largest and the Third-Largest Deckled Rectangle Dies, I cut out two more designs from Earthen Elegance and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped two leaves from Earthen Textures – one in Pretty Peacock and the other in Moody Mauve.  Then I used the coordinating dies from the bundled Earthen Textures set to cut them out.

I adhered the two leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut out two delicate leaf die cuts from Gray Granite and one from Boho Blue cardstock – and used the chevron die to cut a Gray Granite chevron shape.  I adhered all the die cuts to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next, I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere a length of Natural 1/4″ Wavy Trim.

The large Pretty Peacock leaf is a cool die cut – I cut it out and then folded each of the “petals” at the score line that the die creates as it cuts out the leaf.

I adhered the leaf onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Earthen Textures sentiment – I LOVE the font in this set! – in Pretty Peacock on a piece of Earthen Elegance DSP, cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die and popped it over the collage with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Copper Clay 2023-2025 In Color Dots and the card front as done!

For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Earthen Textures in Pretty Peacock on a Basic White panel.  In the corner I added the sweet feathery image in Moody Mauve.  Then I added a Copper Clay 2023-2025 In Color Dot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Moody Mauve mat and into the Gray Granite card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Moody Mauve feather on the front…

…and more of the Earthen Elegance DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my – how gorgeous is this suite?  The images and amazing font in the Earthen Textures are wunnermus – and the coordinating Earthen Elegance DSP is…well.  The colors – the designs!!  Stunning!
