Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Hello Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a cool sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the sketch, my brain said “fun fold”.  So..I made one.  I’m calling it a Half Front Flap Fun Fold.  And – I decorated it with some pretty Hello, Irresistible DSP and blooms from the Irresistible Blooms Bundle – both part of our new Online Exclusives!  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I started by adhering two narrow pieces of Soft Sea Foam Hello, Irresistible DSP onto two Flirty Flamingo mats, then I adhered them to a Basic Black panel using Liquid Glue.

To make the Half Flap front card, I scored and folded a 3″ x 6 3/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock at 2 1/8″ on the long side.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered it to the card front – centering it between the two matted strips.

On a second design of Soft Sea Foam Hello, Irresistible DSP, I stamped a sentiment from Irresistible Blooms in Evening Evergreen ink.  In the corner, I added a small leaf from the set – also in Evening Evergreen.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and then into the inside of the Half Front Flap card on the front.

I matted a piece of Pretty Peacock paper from Hello, Irresistible DSP on Flirty Flamingo and adhered it to the front of the short flap with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Flirty Flamingo Hello, Irresistible DSP, I stamped the large and small flower from Irresistible Blooms in Versamark Ink, sprinkled them with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them with the Heat Tool.  Then I cut them out with the coordinating Irresistible Blooms dies.

I heat embossed the leaves images – three in total – in white, on some Pretty Peacock Hello, Irresistible DSP and cut them out as well.

Finally, I used the detailed leaves dies to cut out Soft Sea Foam cardstock leaves.

I used Liquid Glue to start adhering the leaves and the small flower to the top (short) flap of the card front.  Tip:  use an Acrylic Block to hold the flap down while you work!

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Irresistible Blooms sentiment in Evening Evergreen and cut it out with a Tailor Made Tags die.  Then I adhered it with Liquid Glue.  Tip:  be sure you adhere it only to the top flap – or….it won’t open! 😳😳😳

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a final die cut Soft Sea Foam leaf to the sentiment – then popped the large flower over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To add the final embossed and die cut leaves – I used Liquid Glue on the TOP of the die cut….

…and then I adhered it behind the remainder of the die cuts.

I adhered another piece of Soft Sea Foam Hello, Irresistible DSP to a Flirty Flamingo mat and then adhered it to the inside of the short flap.  That made the back of the flap look much tidier! 😎

I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies to the front of the card – and the front was done!

For the back, I stamped the two leaves from Irresistible Blooms in Evening Evergreen and Soft Sea Foam on a Basic White panel and added a Brushed Brass Butterfly.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and onto the back of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Irresistible Blooms leaves on the front…

So gorgeous! I wouldn’t have thought to use Flirty Flamingo even with the flower but I love that extra pop of color. The front could be the whole card in itself! Love it! TFS
