Stampin’ Up! Delicate Desert Details Framed Florets Easel for the SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  How cool is that?!?

I haven’t pulled out the Desert Details bundle and the coordinating Delicate Desert DSP for a minute, so… when I saw a cool landscape-easel card on Pinterest –  created by Lisa Hardie – I knew it was the right product for the job!  And I snagged a quick couple of sentiments from the Framed Florets stamp set, too!  Take a look-see:

Delicate Desert Details Framed Florets Easel

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Cajun Craze cardstock that I scored at 4 1/4″ and 6 3/8″ on the long side.  I folded both score lines as valleys to create the easel.

Using the large frame die from the Desert Details die set, I cut out a Pale Papaya frame.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of the Delicate Desert DSP in the center of the frame.  Using Liquid Glue on the bottom half of the frame (only!!), I adhered the frame to the bottom easel panel.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the large Desert Details flower twice in Pale Papaya ink.  On one of them, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Cajun Craze in the middle of the image.  I also stamped the small flower in Petal Pink.  Then I cut them all out with their matching dies from the Desert Details die set.

I cut out two of the southwestern images from a piece of Soft Succulent paper in the Delicate Desert DSP and two grasses from the Soft Succulent paper in the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere one of the southwestern shapes, one of the grass die cuts and a large flower.

On a right end of a long-ish strip of Pale Papaya cardstock, I stamped the Framed Florets sentiment in Cajun Craze.  Then I adhered the strip to the frame on the easel panel.

I used Liquid Glue to add the second southwestern shape and grass – then popped the final large flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some of the gold Iridescent Pastel Gems and the easel part of the card was done.

For the inside, I adhered a strip of Delicate Details DSP on a Pale Papaya mat – then adhered it to the inside of the card base.

I stamped a second Framed Florets sentiment in Cajun Craze on a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock, cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die and popped it onto the inside of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals to be the easel stop for the card.

For the inside, I stamped the large Desert Details flower in Pale Papaya on a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and onto the inside of the card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the large Desert Details flower in Pale Papaya on the front…

…and more of the Soft Succulent Delicate Desert DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Desert Details is still one of my favorite sets – I love the pretty flower images and the coordinating Delicate Desert DSP is so pretty with all its southwestern colors and designs!
