Stampin’ Up! Kind & Sincere Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop – our FIRST hop of 2023 – and the first with our new Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog LIVE!  🎉🎉🎉🎉

We’ve got a great sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided our sketch would be a great palette to show off some new paper – yes – you can get it RIGHT NOW!! WHOO-HOO – no more waiting!  It’s the fun Like an Animal Specialty DSP and it’s…cool!  I added a sentiment from the all-sentiment (and one little leaf!) set called Kind & Sincere! Take a look-see:

Yes – it looks like a giraffe!  So – I added some leaves from the Bough Punch!

Here’s the sketch we all used! 🙂

Check out this Like An Animal Specialty DSP – it’s such fun paper!  I love the foil-embossing in Silver and Gold!

I adhered a piece of giraffe-y paper to a piece of Soft Suede cardstock with Stampin’ Seal to make the card front.

Using the Bough Punch, I cut out a Mossy Meadow and an Old Olive leaf – which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a Textural Element over the leaves with a little more Liquid Glue.

A simple bow, tied with two lengths of black Baker’s Twine, is next, adhered with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Kind & Sincere in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I adhered the strip to a Soft Suede mat and popped it over the card front with double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – letting it “spill” off the right side of the card front.

Tip: place the card front onto your card base so that you can check the placement of the sentiment.  You want it to spill off the card FRONT – not the card BASE! 😉

On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the second sentiment (“so very much”) from the set in Mossy Meadow.  I snipped the words apart and then adhered just two of them with Liquid Glue.

I added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Kind & Sincere in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel.  Next to it, I stamped the little leaf from the set in Old Olive ink.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Soft Suede mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little leaf in Old Olive on the front…

…and more Like an Animal Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What do you think?  I love the Kind & Sincere set – so many great sentiments to mix and match…

…and the Like an Animal Specialty DSP – great for masculine cards like this one – feminine cards – did you see the shiny foil side!? – or cards for the kiddos (who doesn’t love a zebra or giraffe?!?)!
