Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a great color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I pulled out the new Love For You bundle from the Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog and…used it to create my own DSP (thanks to a careful look-see in the new catalog at some of the samples!!). I made a sweet card good for a Valentine – or a Galentine – or a Palentine…well, you get the picture. Take a look-see:
And here’s our color palette – I used all but Merry Merlot on my card!
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped it all over using the large and small flowers and leaves images from the Love For You set. They’re two-step images – so each one has a detailed stamp and a “fill” stamp! 🙂
I stamped the two flowers across the panel first in Blushing Bride and then I used Calypso Coral to stamp the detailed images. So pretty! 🙂
I stamped the two-leaf images in Granny Apple Green (using Granny Apple Green for both the fill and the detailed image) and the small single-leaf images in Mossy Meadow for both images.
I cheated the color palette a smidge – and added So Saffron flower centers. There’s a stamp for that! 😉
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat.
On another piece of Calypso Coral, I stamped the two large multi-word Love For You sentiments in Versamark ink. Then I sprinkled them with white Embossing Powder and set the powder with my Heat Tool.
When they were cool, I cut out the individual words using the appropriate die in the bundled Love For You die set. As you can see from the graphic below – there’s a die that will cut the entire stamped phrase as “one” die cut (green arrows) – and one that cuts all the stamped words out individually (magenta arrows).
Using those dies, I got five individual words – so I was able to re-order them for my card! 🙂
I placed a piece of Vellum cardstock onto the card front (not adhered – just set in place) – and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the words in place on the Vellum.
With the die cut words in place, I used Liquid Glue on the back of the vellum – under the die cuts (to hide the glue) – to adhere the vellum to the card front.
I added some new Iridescent Pastel Gems onto the Vellum and used those to “hide” some Glue Dots to further adhere the Vellum – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Love For You flowers and leaves in Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and So Saffron on a Basic White panel.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Blushing Bride card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Love For You flowers and leaves on the front…
…and some more on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Oh my – I love these flowers in the Love For You set! They’re so pretty! And – as the icing on the cake – the bundled Love For You dies that will cut out the flowers – and the leaves – and the SENTIMENTS!! WOWZA!!!
