Stampin’ Up! Rustic Soft Seedlings Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a great theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The moment I saw our theme, I knew I was going to pull out my fave – the Soft Seedlings stamp set – and a little Rustic Harvest DSP.  I added some embossing from the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder.  And…turned it into a quick Flip-Flop Fun Fold.  Take a look-see:

Can you guess our theme??

I also played along with The Paper Players challenge.

And I used just about every square from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge (BINGO!)!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″.  Then, using my Paper Trimmer, I cut the front panel on the diagonal to create the triangular front flap.

I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Mossy Meadow Rustic Harvest DSP into two triangles.  Using Liquid Glue, I matted both DSP triangles on the cardstock triangles.  Note: if your DSP has an “up” and a “down” – spend an extra minute making sure that your triangles end up in the right orientation! 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the matted Mossy Meadow Rustic Harvest DSP triangle to the outside of the front flap – and the second matted triangle on the inside.

I matted a larger piece of Cajun Craze design Rustic Harvest DSP on Crushed Curry and adhered it to the inside panel using Liquid Glue.

For the smaller card, I scored and folded a 3″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock at 4 1/4″.

I stamped a Soft Seedlings sentiment in Mossy Meadow down in the corner of a small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using the splatter image from the Quiet Meadow set – I stamped around the remainder of the panel with stamped-off-once Crushed Curry.

Then I embossed the panel in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it on a piece of Early Espresso with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the front of the small card base.

Using my Stamparatus, I inked the big and gorgeous leaf from Soft Seedlings with Crushed Curry ink – then I added Cajun Craze ink to parts of the image with a Sponge Dauber.  Then I stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I used my Paper Snips to cut out the leaf. Don’t panic – it was pretty easy.  Take your time! 🙂

I tied a Linen Thread Double Loop bow and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I used Double stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the fussy cut leaf to the small card front. I added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the small card front was done.

On another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a second sentiment from Soft Seedlings in Mossy Meadow.  Then I used my Stamparatus to ink-and-sponge the smaller image from Soft Seedlings – in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.  I added the Quiet Meadow splatters in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into the small Crushed Curry card base.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the card to the back of the larger card base – and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the large leaf and some Quiet Meadow splatters on the front…

…and more of the Rustic Harvest DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Soft Seedlings.   Rustic Harvest DSP.   Leaf Fall 3D Embossing.  A Double-Loop Linen Thread Bow.  Pretty much the perfect recipe for a beautiful Fall card!
