Hello and happy Tuesday. Aren’t you glad I let you know each morning WHAT day it is? Believe me – it’s a labor of love – I’m not going to tell you how long it sometimes takes me each morning for ME to remember what day it is! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
My card today is not a Christmas card – yeah! Instead – it’s a sweet little number to just send to a friend who needs a hug. I used the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and bundled Splendid Stems dies. And the pretty Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder. Take a look-see:
This pretty color palette is from the Just Add Ink color challenge this week.
I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on Mint Macaron for the card front.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped one of the stems from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Fresh Freesia – it’s two-steps and I used full strength ink for both the outline and the fill image.
I stamped the other stem in Starry Sky – the outline in full-strength and the fill in stamped-off-once Starry Sky. Then I cut out both images with their matching Splendid Stems dies.
Then I cut out a couple of stems from Mint Macaron cardstock and one small one from Starry Sky cardstock.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut stems to the card front.
I tied a little bow from Starry Sky 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
I stamped the little bee in Starry Sky (it could happen!) and the sentiment in Fresh Freesia on a piece of Basic White. Then I cut them with dies from Splendid Stems.
I colored the bee body with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and popped him on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I popped the sentiment over the bow and the bottom of the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals – added some Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the Splendid Thoughts stems in Fresh Freesia and then added the Starry Sky bee on a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and into my Starry Sky card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fresh Freesia stem and Starry Sky bee on the front…
…and a little bit of Splendid Day Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! When I saw the color palette – the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and bundled Splendid Stems die set came right to mind! I think it’s sort of perfect! And – the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder is…wunnermus – SOO much pretty texture!!
