Hello hello!! Wondering how Thor was? Me, too – we didn’t go. I know. Lazy butts!! Whatcha gonna do?!? 🤷♀️
So – the new Ringed with Nature Bundle is really cool – if you haven’t seen or used it yet…you’re in for a treat! It’s a bundle that includes the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die set that we’re going to use to create really realistic looking tree rings! And I combined it with some wunnermus paper from the Rings of Love DSP – which is one of the cool FREE offerings during Sale-A-Bration! Take a look-see:
I used the set to CASE the Designer over at the Global Design Project this week!
And – I made a video on how to make this card – including some tips for using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder! – on my YouTube video last night! If you’d like to check it out, here ’tis!
I started by adhering a piece of Rings of Love DSP to a Poppy Parade mat for the card front.
Then it was time to do a little embossing – a little cutting – a little adhering-together!
So – I embossed a Soft Suede panel and then a Crumb Cake panel in the Tree Rings Hybrid Folder.
I used the large one-piece die to cut out the Soft Suede Rings – and the corresponding smaller individual rings to cut out the Crumb Cake rings. And I cut out the middles of the Crumb Cake rings using the dies in the set.
Tip: Once I figured out which individual ring-die cut which embossed ring, I marked my embossing folder and the dies with numbers! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Crumb Cake rings to the Soft Suede rings.
Then I used the branch and berries dies in the Tree Rings Die set to cut out:
4 Night of Navy branches (that’s all but the die with the berries!)
3 Poppy Parade berries
5 gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock branches and berries (so – I used ALL the dies for this one!)
I arranged all the pieces on the card front…
And adhered everything with Liquid Glue. Couple of tips: start on the bottom layer. This is kind of a “duh” but… 😳 And two – when you adhere the rings themselves – just use your Liquid Glue in the middle of the ring. It’ll hold plenty good AND it’ll let you slide additional decorations under if you miss one or two!
Next up – I tied a slightly modified double-loop Linen Thread Bow.
a. Wrap the Linen Thread around four fingers FOUR times.
b. Without cutting the thread, wrap around two fingers TWO times. This is the MODIFICATION – I usually wrap FOUR TIMES on this step!
c. Pull the loops off and squeeze the loops together.
d. Twist the loops one time around to create a “figure 8”.
e. Tie a second short length of Thread around the loops in the middle.
f. Spread the loops out to create a bow.

I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Ringed With Nature sentiment in Poppy Parade and cut it with the smallest fatter die in the Stitched Rectangle Die set.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front. Tip: When I’m putting something over a bow like this – I find it easier to put the Dimensionals on the card front instead of on the sentiment itself – that makes it easier to avoid the bow! 🙂
A few Pool Party dots from the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems on the sentiment finished off the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the little leaves image from Ringed With Nature in Night of Navy a few times on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped twice without re-inking, then inked and stamped twice again. I used Crushed Curry to add the little flowers – they’re easy to line up!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Ringed With Nature flowers in Night of Navy and Crushed Curry on the front…
…and more Rings of Love DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! My goodness, I really really like the Ringed With Nature stamp set – but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bundled Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder, don’t you?!? I mean – serious. And the Rings of Love DSP is the perfect accompaniment! And – this gorgeous paper is FREE (with a $50 purchase – and only While Supplies Last!) during Sale-a-Bration! Whoo-hoo!

Finn Fan Fix
The other day Wayne went to get some metal to rebuild the well-house.
It was very hot outside so…we really thought it would be better for Finn to stay home.
Finn had a slightly different opinion…
Dad. Dad? I, too, would be interested in a ride to get the metal!
He stood there for about 5 minutes. Wayne had opened the garage door but had walked to the barn to get something.
Don’t even try to tell me that YOU could have resisted this.
We weren’t and he did get to go! 🤷♀️ I stayed in the car with him with the engine running.
Cuz no…gas is NOT $4.50 a gallon! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
