Stampin’ Up! Rings of Love-ly Nature Get Well Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Do you guys love our Designer Series Paper?  Of COURSE you do!!  I do, too – so…today’s challenge was easy-peasy!  I pulled out some FREE Rings of Love DSP and paired it (naturally!) with the coordinating Ringed with Nature Bundle.  And – the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder seemed like a perfect addition!  Take a look-see:

And here’s our challenge (in case you hadn’t figured it out, yet?!):

And the layout is from the TGIF Challenge sketch.

I started by adhering a piece of the Rings of Love DSP on a Night of Navy mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.  Note:  this is one of the FREE goodies you can pick with a $50 product purchase during Sale-A-Bration!  But…consumables (papers – card packs) go FAST – and won’t be back.  So -if you don’t have this pretty paper yet – get it SOON!

Then I embossed a strip of Kraft Paper in the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder – matted it on Night of Navy – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut four leaf sprigs from Mint Macaron using dies in the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder set.  I cut two each of the two dies circled in purple here:

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the leaves to the card front.  I added a couple of wooden Textural Elements over top with more Liquid Glue.

Using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder – I embossed a Soft Suede and a Crumb Cake panel.

I used the large die to cut out all the Soft Suede embossed rings from the panel.  And I used the individual dies to cut out the corresponding Crumb Cake rings.  See the numbers in the graphic above to see how the two dies correspond!  The rings on the left side are cut by the single, large die in the set.  The shapes on the right are cut out individually.  🙂

I cut the little middles out of the Crumb Cake rings – there are dies for that! – and then adhered them to their Soft Suede counterparts.

I adhered the smaller tree ring to the card front with Liquid Glue and then added the second ring with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

The sentiment, from Ringed With Nature, is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a piece of Crumb Cake, cut with a Stylish Shapes banner die and adhered with Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped some Ringed With Nature leaves in Mint Macaron and the little dots image in Crushed Curry on a piece of Basic White cardstock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Ringed With Nature leaves and dots on the front…

…and more of the Rings of Love DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Ringed With Nature set is so cool – with the embossing folder that works hand-in-hand (uhm…die-in-folder??) with the Tree Rings Dies!  And I love love love the Rings of Love DSP (FREE right now with a $50+ purchase – UNTIL IT SELLS OUT and then it’s GONE!!!), don’t you!?
