Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pansy Patch for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

With this being the last day for y’all to cash in on the Savings Are in Bloom sale – get 20% off the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and a select group of amazing bundles that work perfectly with the small machine – I decided to give you another look at the sweet Pansy Patch bundle (on sale!).  Now…IT is carrying over to the new catalog (although not as a money-saving bundle!) – but…the coordinating Pansy Petals DSP is NOT.  It’s ALSO on sale right now for 20% off!  Take a look-see at what I did with it today!

And…here’s the sketch we were all working with!

The garden theme was inspired by the pretty photo inspiration challenge at Just Us Girls.

And no one can say there’s not a pop – or THREE! – of color, so…the TGIF challenge is perfect! 🙂

I started by adhering a full-size piece of the gorgeous Pansy Petals DSP to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base, using Liquid Glue.

Next up, I stamped a Pansy Patch sentiment in Bumble Bee ink on a narrower Basic White panel.  Then I embossed the panel in the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

I matted the panel on Evening Evergreen and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I made some flowers using the sweet Pansy Dies.

For the large flower, I cut a Basic White large petal and used a VERY VERY dry (like…I pulled it out and just went with the ink that was already on it!) Sponge Dauber to add some Bumble Bee to the center of the petal.

From Fresh Freesia – I cut the two smaller petals and the large detail die cut.  I adhered that to the white petal with Liquid Glue.

I cut Blackberry Bliss details for the small petals – and the pansy “face”.  I adhered these pieces to their respective spots with Liquid Glue.

The two smaller petals are adhered together with Liquid Glue, then I popped the larger petal on with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Playing with Patterns Resin Dot became the center of the flower.

The bud was created the same way.  Solid die cut in white – with a little Bumble Bee coloring – and the detailed die cut in Fresh Freesia.  All adhered together with Liquid Glue.

I cut two solid leaves (one large and one small) and a stem in Soft Succulent.  Then I cut the two detailed leaves and a second stem in Evening Evergreen.  I snipped the top off the Evergreen stem and adhered it to the Soft Succulent Stem with Liquid Glue.  Then I stuck the stem onto the bud with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the stem to the card front – then the two leaves – all with Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – a single layer under the top of the flower and then a double-stack under the white part.

I added a few Bumblebee Trinkets with Glue Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Pansy Patch sentiment in Bumble Bee ink on a Basic White pattern.  Then I added some smaller pansies.  I stamped the detailed image first in Blackberry Bliss, then added the fill image in Fresh Freesia.  And I gave them all a cute little pansy face and flower center in Bumble Bee ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into the Fresh Freesia card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some small pansies on the front…

…and more of the uber-pretty Pansy Petals DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love pansies – whether they’re in my garden or on a card!  And the Pansy Patch stamp set – and bundled Pansy Dies! – make creating these 3D beauties a cinch!   The coordinating Pansy Petals DSP is…absolutely gorgeous.  And…leaving us SOON.  So…if you haven’t stocked up on it….do it now – before you can’t! 😳😳😳

I hope you like!
