Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Blessings of Home Sneak Peek Front-Card Fun Fold

Good morning.  It’s Tuesday, 7 Dec 2021.  Today we should all take just a moment to remember the events of eighty years ago.   It was a moment that plunged us into the Second World War – and changed us forever as a Nation.  Take a moment – honor those that lost their lives  – that day – and in the bloody years that followed.

My card today is a fun-fold (guess you guessed that from the title??) that is super easy.  Here it is: make a little tent card.  Stick it to a larger piece of cardstock.  Done. 😉

Of course – the beauty is in the details, right?  The details of this one include the Blessings of Home bundle, the Honeybee Home stamp set and the gorgeous Heart & Home DSP – ALL coming on 4 Jan 2022 in the new Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog!  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday challenge with this one!

I started with a piece of gray woodgrain paper from the Heart & Home DSP and matted it on Misty Moonlight – then I adhered it all to a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and the card base was “made”! 🙂

I cut a bee-strewn piece of Heart & Home DSP and adhered it to a smaller Cinnamon Cider mat – this is the card front for the small tent-card on the front.  I adhered the whole thing to the front of the smaller Misty Moonlight tent-card base – and then adhered the little card in the center of the card front.

I adhered a Square Vellum Doily to the smaller card front – tipping it up to be a diamond – using Liquid Glue.

Using the leaves dies in the Flowers of Home Die Set, I cut five leaves – one of each.  And I also cut four from the gold paper in the Gold & Rose Gold 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper.  Using Liquid Glue – I adhered them to the small card front.

I stamped the smaller floral from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Gray on a piece of Basic White and cut it with the matching die from the bundled Flowers of Home set.

I colored the flowers with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and the Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends Combo.  The stems and leaves I barely touched with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend (just lightly coloring the shading lines provided by Stampin’ Up!).  I popped the die cut flower over the top of the leaves.

I stamped the Blessings of Home sentiment in Cinnamon Cider on a narrow strip of Basic White – snipped banners in each end with scissors – and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Using a Glue Dot – I adhered a Bumblebee Trinket to the card front, and the card front was done.

I stamped a small flower from the Honeybee Home set in Basic Gray in the corner of a small Basic White panel.  I colored it with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

I inked just the words “What a Beautiful Day”, from Blessings of Home, in Basic Gray and stamped the center of the panel.  Tip: I was able to just carefully ink the words – if it’s easier, put a sticky note over the remainder of the stamp (just be SURE to pull it off BEFORE you stamp the panel!). 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cinnamon Cider mat and into the small Misty Moonlight card base.

For the back of the card, I stamped two Honeybee Home bees in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel.  I colored both of them with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and then onto the back of the Cinnamon Cider card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a Honeybee Home bee on the front…

…and more of the Heart & Home DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  SUPER simple fun fold, right??  But – it just adds a pop of fun, I think!  And the Blessings of Home bundle, Honeybee Home and the Heart & Home DSP just go together like….white bread, a fresh sliced ‘mater and a sprinkle of salt!  Am I right??  Can’t WAIT for you to pick it up in January!!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Usually when I get off the treadmill and walk back in the kitchen in the mornings, I see…

But the other morning, I saw…

He wasn’t blinking…he didn’t look around at me…he didn’t even twitch.

I double checked but…there was nothing in the human-visible-spectrum anywhere in sight that would have incited this focus and concentration.

Or…was there?  Puny human eyes are woefully inadequate – it’s a known thing.

  2. Lovely card! Hard to beat that Honeybee Home set. And paired with the Blessings of home and the fabulous paper, how can you go wrong?? Love your layers.
And, yes, puny human eyes miss a lot!
Not sure I am ready for another dog, but seeing the mole runs in my yard this past couple of weeks, makes me re-think the idea. Had no moles when I had a dog. I think she could see underground.
