Stampin’ Up! A Peaceful Cabin in a Peaceful Place for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the theme – I right away thought of the pretty gray snowflake paper in the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP – so that became the foundation for my card.  To it, I added a few elements from the Peaceful Cabin bundle.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our challenge!

I also borrowed from another challenge – the sketch over at The Paper Players to help me with my layout.

I started by cutting three pieces of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP – one long one and two smaller ones.  Hint: they’re all the same width!  I adhered these with Liquid Glue to a Polished Pink mat for the card front.

Then I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere a Wonderful Snowflake to the card front – a little off-center!

I stamped the Peaceful Cabin image in Basic Gray on Basic White and fussy cut it out.  Then I brushed all the “snow” with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Using the dies in the bundled Cabin Dies – I cut 6 Evening Evergreen pine trees.

I adhered four of the trees to the card front with Liquid Glue, then popped the fussy cut cabin over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the fun little “fence” die – I cut a Soft Suede fence panel and adhered it to the front of the cabin with Liquid Glue.

I used a Stampin’ Dimensional at the bottom of a large tree and a little more Liquid Glue to adhere it over the fence panel.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Peaceful Cabin sentiment in Polished Pink and cut it out with a die from the Ornate Frames die set.

I used a Stampin’ Dimensional and some Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment.

I added some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (NEW in the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog and available 4 Jan!) here and there and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped just two of the three-tree image from Peaceful Cabin in Evening Evergreen.   Then I stamped the fence image over top in Soft Suede – using a Blender Pen to soften the edges and fill it in a little.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into the Evening Evergreen card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the trees and fence image from Peaceful Cabin on the front…

…and more Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  A Peaceful Cabin in a snowy Peaceful Place!  So pretty – I love these tree die cuts – they’re some of the bestest I’ve seen!  And – not for nuthin’ – the Peaceful Cabin stamp set and Cabin Dies are retiring soon – so…if you don’t have them…you know what to do! 🙂

I hope you like!

Thanks Julie! I think you could do this card with Early Espresso – or Soft Succulent – instead of the pink. It would make a cool change! 🙂
