Stampin’ Up! Knit Sweater Together Sparkle of the Season

Happy Tuesday, y’all!  Hope the week is going well for you.  Don’t forget to take advantage of my Paper & Packaging Special – if your order is in my e-mail when I check it tomorrow – I’ll count it!

I’m awesome that way! 😉

My card today is a Wintery Fall-ish sweatery card.  With pumpkins.  And leaves.  I pulled the Knit Sweater and Sparkle of the Season bundles out for it – plus a few work-horse dies that EVERYONE needs in their tool chests.  Take a look-see:

The layout and colors and elements were inspired by the FUSION challenge this week!

I started with a Very Vanilla panel in my Stamparatus – I stamped it with the Knit Together background stamp in Pool Party ink.  Then I matted the panel on Pale Papaya.

I used the next-to-largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set (workhorse #1) to cut a Very Vanilla panel – then I embossed it in the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a strip of Pool Party cardstock and adhered it across the bottom of the panel.

Using the ric-rack die in the Knit Sweater Dies – I cut two pieces from Pale Papaya cardstock.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the Pool Party strip and trimmed the excess from the ends.

With dies in the Seasonal Swirls Die set, I cut six Very Vanilla pumpkins, two Pool Party pumpkins and five Pool Party leaves.

I adhered a leaf to the top of five of the pumpkins and then popped them onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Sparkle of the Season sentiment in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and cut it with the largest circle die in the Tasteful Labels die set (the SECOND workhorse that you NEED!).

I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered the two Pool Party pumpkins and the last Very Vanilla pumpkin to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using FOUR lengths of Very Vanilla twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, I tied a small bow and attached it with a Glue Dot.

I added some Pool Party gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the leaf image from Sparkle of the Season in Pool Party on a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Sparkle of the Season leaf on the front…

…and I added a bunch of Sparkle of the Season leaves in Pool Party on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love those little pumpkins, don’t you?  The Sparkle of the Season bundle is very cool – and spans several Fall/winter occasions!  And I am really loving the fun Sweater Together stamp set as a great way to add quick and cozy textures to your card.  The bundled Knit Sweater Dies is an added bonus!

I hope you like!

  1. Winner, winner…well, you know the rest! I love the softness of the colors and everything you used. Cute pic of Wayne and Finn.

I’ve said this before but this awesome card made me think it again—your brain sure works at a higher, much more creative level than my left-brained one! That row of pumpkins and rick rack is ingenious and totally makes the card to me. TFS
Finn probably thinks the reason for the inversion table is to put Dad’s face his level for kisses! Cute!
