Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Sneak Peek Corner Pop Up Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and Happy Happy Friday!  Do you have something cool, fun and/or awesome planned for the weekend?  We’re going to the couple’s baby shower for Chris and Courtney tomorrow – yeah!!

One note – this is the last day to place an order over $100 with me and get DOUBLE Peppermints and a chance to win a Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine OR $120 in Stampin’ Up! Merchandise from me.  And – oh by the way – support a GREAT organization – K9s For Warriors – at the same time!!  You can ALSO donate directly to them ($50+) and get an entry!  And – even if you don’t want to order or donate now – I HOPE you’ll support them in the future! 🙂  There’s more info about the whole shebang down below!

If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me.  If not – but you’d like to see how to make this fun-fold card – and the sneak peek of the Eden’s Garden goodies – here ’tis!

This is a cool fun fold – sort of a hybrid, if you will!  I saw a great Corner Pop-Up card (first on my teammate Karen Finkle’s blog and then as a video from Lisa Curcio) that I liked a lot.  But…I wanted this square card to be “regular” size and I realized I could put it into a side-fold card.  So…did a little engineering on it – and then used it as a wonderful palette to give you a sneak peek of the wunnermus new Eden’s Garden bundle and Ever Eden Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

This card is a corner pop-up “insert” inside a side-fold card!

I started by making the Evening Evergreen side-fold card, scoring a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of the cardstock at 5 1/2″ and again at 6 3/4″.  Using Liquid Glue on the inside between the two score lines – I adhered the front of the card to the back – creating the side-fold.

I made the corner pop-up by scoring an 8″ x 8″ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock at the 4″ line on both sides, using my Simply Scored tool.  Then I placed the panel into my Stampin’ Trimmer and created a diagonal score in one corner.

Then I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to remove the opposite quadrant of the panel.

I “pinched” the diagonal line as a mountain fold and then folded the other two score lines as valleys.

I cut a square of the new Ever Eden Specialty DSP (available 2 Nov – 3 Jan) and then cut it into two triangles, which I adhered to the bottom sections with Liquid Glue.

A second square of the DSP was adhered to the “left” panel – as shown in the template.

I stamped an Eden’s Garden sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a square of Basic White.  Over the top is one of the leaf images in stamped-off-once Soft Succulent.  I adhered the panel to the “right” panel with Liquid Glue.

I folded the panel with the diagonal panel in the middle – and used Liquid Glue to adhere the “stacked” insert to the back of the inside of the card.  Then I applied Liquid Glue to the top of the stack – closed the card and adhered the whole thing together.  Confusing?  Check the video at about the 18:30 point to see how to do it! 🙂

With the inside done, I cut two more pieces of the Ever Eden Specialty DSP and matted them on Soft Succulent.  The smaller strip is adhered to the side-fold panel on the front with Liquid Glue.

On the larger one, I used Liquid Glue to adhere a Basic White frame that I’d cut with one of the cool frame dies in the bundled Eden Dies.

Using a second die, I cut a piece of the Evening Evergreen Ever Eden Cotton Specialty Paper and adhered it with Liquid Glue over the frame.

Using Glue Dots, I adhered a loose “bow” from gold Simply Elegant Trim.

I stamped the Sending Hugs sentiment from Eden’s Garden in Evening Evergreen on Basic White and cut it with the smaller, smooth-sided punch in the Heart Punch Pack.  I used the second punch to cut a Soft Succulent scalloped-edge heart and used Liquid Glue to adhere them together.  Then I popped the whole sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels – popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Eden’s Garden leaf in Soft Succulent on the front…

…and more of the Ever Eden Specialty Paper on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is SUCH a fun card (guess that’s why it’s a FUN FOLD?!?) and it’s got lots of decorating space for your fave designer papers.  Like…Ever Eden Specialty DSP, maybe!!  I love this new paper – and it’s a limited time product.  You’ll only be able to get it during the Early Release period – it’s NOT in the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog.  The Eden’s Garden stamp set and bundled Eden Dies, on the other hand, WILL be in the next catalog.  Whoo-hoo!!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the card cuts and products used are down below!

I hope you like!

Stamps-N-Lingers Fundraiser for a GREAT Cause and a DOUBLE Peppermints Ordering Special!

LAST DAY!

Just wanted to remind y’all that my fundraiser – supporting the K9’s for Warriors organization (the nation’s largest provider of Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma) – ENDS TONIGHT!!

Here’s some info….

K9s For Warriors Logo

In addition to being a provider of Service Dogs to our military heroes, the majority of their K9s are rescued from shelters or surrendered by their owners. In saving these animals from abandonment or euthanasia, this great organization gives them purpose. Each pair who graduates from the program represent two lives saved – the Service Dog and the Warrior.

But wait – there’s more.  Dogs who do not graduate from their program qualify for a “career change” and are adopted out to loving homes or they enter the K9FW Station Dog Program – which lets them help to address and mitigate the stress factors common to the work and environment of dispatch operators, first responders, and police officers

Okay – so…HOW COOL IS THAT?!?  Veteran – WIN.  A Dog’s Life Saved?!? WIN WIN!

So.

How can YOU help ME help THEM??

Finn Fan Fix

I don’t want to say that Finn is the smartest dog on the planet.

It’s would be boastful to say such a thing.

Fortunately, I don’t HAVE to say it – I have video proof! 😉
