Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty of Tomorrow Card

Good morning, y’all and welcome to your work week!  I hope it’s going to be a good one for you! 🙂

Last week, while I was cutting up paper for the Catalog Shares, I posted a picture over on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page of my latest favorite DSP!  It’s a specific design in the new Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP – which is a totally gorgeous paper pack!  From the minute I saw it, I was plotting a card in my head that would showcase that particular paper perfectly!  And I think I got it done with this one, when I paired it up with the coordinating Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set.  Take a look-see:

Here’s the whole sheet of that paper!

With this single sheet – you can get 6 of these card fronts!

The layout for this was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I started with a piece of my chosen Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″.  From the left side, I cut off a 5/8″ strip.  Then I cut 3/4″ of an inch from the bottom of both resulting pieces.  Be sure to keep track of all four pieces – and keep their orientation in mind!

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the four pieces to a Polished Pink mat – making the spaces between as equal as possible!

I cut another piece of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP into a strip that I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I layered a length of 3/8″ Gold Shimmer Ribbon over the DSP strip using Stampin’ Seal.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a gold die cut flower from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack!

I stamped a Beauty of Tomorrow sentiment in Early Espresso on a strip of Basic White.  I snipped a banner in the end and edged it in Blackberry Bliss using my Stampin’ Write Marker.

Then I popped the sentiment over the ribbon and DSP strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Beauty of Tomorrow sentiment in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I added a small floral from the stamp set a few times in Early Espresso.  Using a Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker – I colored the tips of the flowers – to mimic the gold tips on the DSP on the card front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Beauty of Tomorrow floral on the front in Early Espresso and Bumble Bee…

…and more Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP on the envelope flap (this is the same design that I’d used for the strip behind the sentiment).

Et Voila!  I love the gorgeousness of this Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP, don’t you?  And the rest of the Blackberry Beauty Suite is equally wonderful with the Beauty of Tomorrow and the (not-used-for-this-card) bundled Beautiful Leaves die set!  I can’t wait to play with more of the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack goodies, either!  Sooo pretty! 🙂

I hope you like!

Don’t forget about my July – Dec 2021 Mini Catalo Special Bundles – they’re my way of helping you to save some money while gathering up some of your favorite goodies from the new catalog – including this Suite!  But they won’t be around forever!  Check them all out right here – and take a look at Bundle #4 – We Love Fall for the Blackberry Beauty goodies!
