Stampin’ Up! Reflected in Nature Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope you’ve been having a good weekend – we’re swinging between downpouring rain and sauna.  It’s awesome! 😉  Thank goodness for Air Conditioning!!

If you were able to join me for my air-conditioned Facebook live video last night, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis on YouTube!

This is a new stamp set – one you might miss on your way thru your new Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog the first  – or third! – time, but…I’d urge you to take a gander at it.  It’s a Dist-INK-tive set called the Reflected in Nature set and it’s on page 60!  I did a little Bark 3D Embossing and a little edge tearing and…take a look-see:

The layout is from the As You See It sketch challenge!

I started off with a piece of Mossy Meadow paper from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Night of Navy for the card front.

Next, I embossed a strip of Misty Moonlight in the Bark 3D Embossing Folder, matted it on Night of Navy and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I trimmed down a Paper Lattice with my Paper Snips and used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

In the video, I showed some samples of ways to ink/stamp the main focal image in the Reflected in Nature set – all of them use the Stamparatus (cuz….it REALLY helps!).  For this card, I used Night of Navy – tapping the top of the stamp with the ink pad and then stamping it with the Stamparatus.  Then I did the same on the bottom – using my Balmy Blue ink pad.

I tore the edges of the panel – following the edge of the stamped image – and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a double-length bow from Crumb Cake twine in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from Reflected in Nature in Mossy Meadow on a strip of Basic White and matted it on Night of Navy.  Then I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front – overlapping the bow.

I added a few Night of Navy gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Reflected in Nature in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel.  Next to it, I added the eagle from the set in Night of Navy.  Across the bottom, I adhered a snipped piece of Paper Lattice with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

In the video, due to a…shortage…of Mossy Meadow plaid DSP – I created that card using Evening Evengreen – for the card front and for the stamped sentiments. I also used Pool Party on the bottom of the image.

For both versions, my Basic White Medium Envelope got the Reflected in Nature eagle image in Night of Navy on the front…

…and more of the DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! So…which do you like better?  Mossy Meadow or Evening Evergreen?

The jury is out for me –  I like ’em both!  I love this Reflected in Nature stamp set so much – the detail in the forest is simply incredible.  It looks like a photograph!  I can’t wait to play with more color combinations!

I hope you like!
