Stampin’ Up! Seascape Seashells Beauty of the Earth!

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Back to work, huh?  I am mostly just hoping that all my neighbors blew all their fireworks on Sunday night and are now totally and completely out.  I’m not holding my breath but…hope springs eternal, right??

My card today uses a set that I’ve been told “I must really like” cuz apparently I pull it off the shelf pretty regular-like!  I think it’s a fair assessment – but…who would NOT love the Seascape stamp set and bundled Sea Life dies??  And if you can add a Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and some Beauty of the Earth DSP – well – you’re gonna have a very cool card on your hands.  Take a look-see:

The layout and sea-theme are from the current FUSION challenge!

I started with a piece of Beauty of the Earth DSP that I embossed in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder – then I cut it into three equal size strips.

I stamped the bubbles from the Seascape stamp set in Misty Moonlight on the top of a Misty Moonlight panel.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the embossed DSP strips to the bottom of the panel.  Hint: adhere the two side pieces first – then split the difference with the middle panel.  And don’t forget to put the panels in the “right order” so that the embossing flows from one panel to the next! 😉

Using the “sand” image in Seascape – I stamped all over a Sahara Sand cardstock strip in Sahara Sand ink – then I matted it on Sahara Sand and adhered it onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the die in the Sea Life die set, I cut out a coral from Granny Apple Green cardstock and one from the Mango Melody Ombre Specialty Paper.

I brushed Granny Apple Green ink onto the Granny Apple Green coral using a Blending Brush and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue. I used Dimensionals to add the sparkly Ombre coral over top.

I cut some Poppy Parade Ombre fishes – using the dies in Sea Life and then added one near the top of the coral with Liquid Glue.  The second fish is popped into the “reef” with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the Seascape sentiment in Poppy Parade on Basic White, cut it with a Tasteful Labels die and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  Then I added some of the adhesive-backed sequins from the Artistically Inked Ephemera Pack and the card front was done!

For the inside, I added a second Seascape sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel – then I added the bubbles over top in stamped-off-once Misty Moonlight.

I adhered the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Seascape bubbles in Misty Moonlight and fishes in Poppy Parade on the front…

…and then I added Beauty of the Earth DSP and Poppy Parade fishes on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Okay – I confess – I really like playing with this Seascape stamp set and its bundled Sea Life Die set!  And the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder really looks cool with the Beauty of the Earth DSP, don’t you think?

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

The other day we were working out in the garden, planting around the water feature.

Finn was sprawled on the barn porch, enjoying the two ceiling fans.

And then…he wasn’t.

Didn’t think much of it – he often will mosey to the carport where it’s even cooler.

But – as I walked back to the house, I didn’t see him.

Until…

Apparently he’d noticed my empty bottle and decided we needed it back at the house. 😂

Of course, he was totally right – and he got a cookie for his efforts.

Gotta love a kid that VOLUNTEERS to help, huh??

  1. So pretty! Love the colors, perfect for your ocean themed card! I’m sure that getting the cookie had nothing to do with Finn’s willingness to head over to the house with bottle in mouth and wait for you. 😉 Such a good boy. 🙂
