Good morning, y’all – happy Monday! And…happy Last-Day-of-the-Connect-Craft-Collect-Ordering Special! Now, my card today uses a few goodies that you might want to add to that order! The pretty all-image Batik Boutique Bundle gets together with the sentiment-only One Happy Family stamp set. And – the wonderful, go-to Scalloped Contours die set is in there, too! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one comes from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
And the subtle color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.
I started with a panel of Smoky Slate that I covered with the flower image from Batik Boutique in Smoky Slate ink for a tone-on-tone look. Then I cut the middle out with the fourth-from-the-center die in the Scalloped Contours Die set.
I set that die cut aside for another card and adhered the remaining frame to a Balmy Blue mat with Liquid Glue to create the card front.
I cut the same size Scalloped Contours die from a piece of Basic White and stamped the sentiment from One Happy Family in Night of Navy near the bottom.
Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the solid die in the Batik Die set to cut the solid fan shape from Night of Navy. Then I used the corresponding detailed die and cut it again from Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Basic White.
Using Liquid Glue – not much, a little dab’ll do ya – I adhered the Balmy Blue die cut to the solid Night of Navy die cut. Then I carefully stuck some Basic White die cut pieces inside. I popped the completed shape onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Up in the corner, I added another couple of Batik die cuts with Liquid Glue. Then I also pulled out my Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added a few in various sizes around the die cuts – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I ran the flower image from Batik Boutique in Smoky Slate up the side of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Night of Navy card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Batik Boutique flower across the bottom in Smoky Slate…
…and a single image on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I really like the die cuts and stamped images in the Batik Boutique Bundle – so many color combination options for all your projects! Go bright – go feminine – go masculine! It’s up to you! And One Happy Family is chock-a-block full of perfectly-sized sentiments for all sorts of needs: new baby, baby shower, congratulations, birthday! And do NOT forget to pick up the Scalloped Contours dies. I promise these will be your go-to dies!!

Openings Available in Host Clubs Starting on 1 July!
How does it work?
A club consists of three folks doing two consecutive three-month terms. Each person commits to buying $50 before shipping and tax each month.
You sign up for two consecutive 3-month terms and commit to:
- A $50.00 minimum order each month
- Placing your order by the 20th of each month
- Using the Host code for each month that I send to you in an email at the beginning of each month
Here’s how it shakes out…this is just an example! As you can see, each member gets to host TWICE during the six months!!
At the end of the club, I let each member select a stamp set up to $25 that I send to them for free.
What are the other bennies of a Host Club?
- At least a $150.00 Workshop order during EACH of your host months!
- Which means you’ll have at least $15.00 of Stampin’ Rewards dollars to spend on the exclusive Host Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your host months. Stampin’ Rewards are Stampin’ Up!-speak for “free money”!
- You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders. Finn Fan Fix
Doesn’t really matter how hot it is – give this one a water bottle and he makes a beeline to the house – going all the way around the road as if he were still walking with us. But most definitely NOT with us.
We are WAAAAY too slow!
Like the postal service of yesteryear….neither rain, nor sleet, nor wet-blanket-of-humidity will stop him from his self-appointed duty of getting that water bottle safely (ish) to the house!
But that heat DOES cause the tongue to pretty much flap in the breeze! You gotta let it hang out there to help cool off.
Seriously with the camera right now?? I need a DRINK! C’mon, maaaaaannnnnn!!
