Stampin’ Up! Batik Boutique Inspired Thoughts

Good morning from Maui!  Hope your day is going well!  Ours still started earlier than I’d like (darned time zone difference!) but…today is helicopter tour day so…maybe THAT has something to do with waking up so early!  I’m psyched! 🙂

My card for you today is a clean and simple one using the new image-only Batik Boutique stamp set, with it’s bundled Batik Dies, and a couple sentiments from the sentiment-only Inspired Thoughts set.  I also used a cool little a la carte die set called Basic Borders.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week – I turned it on its side!

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts set in the bottom right corner – in Soft Succulent.  Then I matted the panel on Soft Succulent for the card front.

I cut a 2 1/2″ wide piece of Basic White and I used a die from the Basic Borders die set to cut the end down to length (4″).

I stamped the small flower image from Batik Boutique three times across the banner in Misty Moonlight ink. I added the “fill” image for the flowers in Pale Papaya and the leaves in Soft Succulent.

Across the bottom of the banner, I stamped the really small flower from Batik Boutique in Misty Moonlight.  Then I matted the banner in Soft Succulent – cut to size width-wize – then cut the end with the same Basic Borders Die to be the same length as the Basic White banner.

I stamped and colored a fourth Batik Boutique flower on Basic White and cut it out with the matching die in the bundled Batik Die set.  This one I popped over the middle flower on the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I scattered some Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels pack across the banner.

Finally, I adhered the banner to the card front with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the smallest flower image from Batik Boutique in Misty Moonlight across the bottom of a Basic White panel.  I added a second sentiment from Inspired Thoughts in Misty Moonlight.  I also added more of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Succulent mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Batik Boutique flowers in Misty Moonlight across the front…

…and the larger flower on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Batik Boutique bundle – with the Batik Dies that let you cut so many fun flower and batik shapes – is really cool (even if it’s sort of a flyover!).  Take another look at them if you missed them the first time around!  Inspired Thoughts (available bundled with the Inspired Canopy die set) is a perfect sentiment set that you need in your tool chest.  The Basic Borders dies – not associated with any particular stamp set – is a great workhorse die set for adding all sorts of fun border effects to your projects!
