Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Butterfly & Wild Roses!

Good morning, y’all and happy HAPPY HAWWWMP Day!!  And…Happy 2020-2021 Annual Catalog Retiring Products List Release Day!

Yep – this afternoon, at 3pm Eastern time, Stampin’ Up! will be releasing the list of all the retiring products in the current Annual Catalog!  I am excited to see what carries over and what will be leaving us.  Y’all check back – watch for a post from me – I’ll get it out to you quick as I can.

You might want to go make a last minute swing thru your stash and see where the gaps are (especially in the 2019-2021 In Colors!) and get them filled right now!!  FYI – those ink pads, refills and Stampin’ Blends are ALREADY showing Low Inventory.  So… get busy! 😳😳😳

My card today uses a bit of a smorgasbord of goodies – anchored by the pretty Wild Roses background stamp.  Then I added a sweet tag (that was my contribution to our last Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting make-and-takes) featuring the Dragonfly Gardens stamp set and Brilliant Wings Dies.  Take a look-see:

I used several elements from this week’s Festive Friday Inspo List! I got butterfly, blue, and ribbon!

I started with the Wild Roses background stamp. Using my Stamparatus, I stamped that image on a Basic White panel in Versamark Ink.  Then I sprinkled Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder all over it and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

Using Blending Brushes, I first blended Mango Melody all over the panel – then added Melon Mambo to the edges.  I wiped off all the excess ink from the embossed portions – and ended up with an emboss-resist panel that I think is gorgeous!! 🙂

I matted my pretty panel on a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock for the card front.

The tag is a 2″ wide piece of Basic White, punched at the top with my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  I curved the bottom corners using the Detailed Trio Punch.

I stamped a So Sentimental sentiment in Misty Moonlight near the bottom.  Over that I stamped the wildflower image from Dragonfly Gardens in stamped off once Just Jade ink.

I made a second tag from Shaded Spruce and adhered the two tags together with Liquid Glue.

Thru the top of the white tag, I looped some Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon and tied it together with Linen Thread.

My butterfly is cut from the (now retired – sorry! You could easily stamp the Butterfly Brilliance butterflies in Misty Moonlight and cut them out) Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP using the Brilliant Wings die.  I also cut the detailed butterfly from Vellum cardstock – and adhered it to the DSP butterfly with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the butterfly to the tag with Liquid Glue – and adhered it all to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Finally, I added some silver Metallic Pearls to the butterfly and the tag – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second So Sentimental sentiment in Misty Moonlight to a Basic White panel – then added a Butterfly Brilliance butterfly over top in stamped-off-once Just Jade.  I added another silver Metallic Pearl.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Butterfly Brilliance butterflies on the front in Just Jade…

…and I stamped another butterfly in Misty Moonlight onto the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Yes – there’s a lot of stamp sets and tools used here – but…I think everyone needs So Sentimental in their tool box, anyway!  And the Butterfly Brilliance bundle – available now AND in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog – is going to be a heavy favorite, I am sure.  Wild Roses is…stunning!  Especially in emboss-resist!!

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!

Finn Fan Fix

It’s a mere coincidence and some unfortunate timing that Dad is ALSO eating his lunch right now.  Finn is totally unaware of the presence of a sandwich and bag of cheetos.

It’s like..they simply don’t exist.

No – really.  It’s totally an expression of love and devotion.

😉

  1. Pretty card! Love the floral background with the layered butterfly. Finn is definitely all about the love and devotion and doesn’t care one bit about the sandwich and Cheetos. 😉
