Stampin’ Up! Memories of Home and Christmas for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I combined a couple of stamp sets – the Host-exclusive Greatest Part of Christmas set and the Memories of Home set – with the beautiful Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to create my Christmas card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s As You See It sketch challenge.

I started with a piece of the burlap-look paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP and matted it on Cherry Cobbler.  A smaller – wood-look design – also matted on Cherry Cobbler – is adhered with Liquid Glue to create the card front.

I cut a piece of the music paper with the largest circle Stitched Shapes Die and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, which is from the Host-exclusive Greatest Part of Christmas set, I used my Stamparatus to stamp it twice on Crumb Cake – once in Mossy Meadow and once with Cherry Cobbler.  I snipped the Cherry Cobbler “Happy” and “Christmas” with my Paper Snips.

I cut the Mossy Meadow sentiment with the third-largest circle Stitched Shapes Die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I added the snipped sentiment words with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped both ornaments from the Memories of Home stamp set in Versamark Ink on Cherry Cobbler and sprinkled them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I heated them with my Heat Tool.  These two ornaments work with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack – so that’s what I used to punch them out.

I adhered the ornaments – using Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a Linen Thread double-loop bow and stuck it on with a Glue Dot.  Then I tied a simple bow from Mossy Meadow Baker’s Twine (from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack) and stuck it on with a tiny dab of Liquid Glue.

A few Cherry Cobbler gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack finished off the card front.

For the inside, I used my Stamparatus again to stamp a second sentiment from Greatest Part of Christmas in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake.  I added the ornament images in Versamark, sprinkled them with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I added a Cherry Cobbler gem, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more of the Memories of Home ornaments on the front, embossed in Copper….

…and I added more of the burlap Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the envelope flap – even adding another Copper-embossed ornament!

Et Voila!  The Pressed Petals Specialty DSP is so versatile, isn’t it??  And the Memories of Home set – with the ornaments that can be punched with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack – is so sweet!  If you want the Greatest Part of Christmas, you’ll need to purchase it with Stampin’ Rewards or select it as an ordering gift from me.  Let’s figure out how you can do that (there’s a few ways!), shall we?  I hope you like!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Amy’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Karen’s been up to!
