Stampin’ Up! Angled Snowman Season!

Mornin’, y’all!  Well – Friday again!  Whoo-hoo!  I’m headed north today to get my hair cut – in preparation for next week’s OnStage!  I’m excited for that – it’s always great to see friends from around the country – and we’ll get to see (and order from!!) the new Occasions Catalog, too!  Can you believe it’s almost time for that!?  That means it’s almost 2020.

Where are the flying cars?!?  That’s all I want to know.  I’m pretty sure George Jetson promised flying cars by now… 😉

Anywho – more on OnStage as we get closer!

My card today is ready for Christmas!  And snow.  Which I hope we do NOT get.  No offense to snow or folk who love snow, but…I’m WAY okay without it!  But – that does mean that the only snowmen I’m going to be able to make are in paper.  Thankfully I’ve got the Snowman Season bundle and some cool and frosty Let It Snow Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge this week!

And the color scheme is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!

I started with a snowy piece of Let it Snow Specialty DSP that I matted on Real Red for the card front.  Then I cut a second design with a Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Snowman Season in Shaded Spruce and cut it with a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Glue Dots, I wound a piece of Real Red 1/8″ Curly Ribbon in a rough figure-8 to create a bow-ish effect.

I cut the snowman from one of the pieces of glittery Let It Snow Specialty DSP using the Snowman Builder Punch (bundled with the Snowman Season stamp set).

I pulled out the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit and added a couple of branch arms, some coal for the eyes and buttons (these are little enamel shapes in the kit!) and used some Liquid Glue to adhere a Shaded Spruce cap.

Then I popped him onto the card front with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Snowman Season in Shaded Spruce to a Whisper White panel.  Over top I stamped some snowflakes in stamped-off-once Coastal Cabana.  A single Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel finished it off.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Coastal Cabana snowflakes on the front (I stamped the image twice without re-inking to get the “second” color!)…

…and I added more of the snowy paper from the Let It Snow Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Snowman Season stamp set lets me make my kind of snowman.  A NOT-snow man, man!  And it’s so cool that the Snowman Builder punch will actually punch out one of the glittery images from the Let It Snow Specialty DSP, don’t you think?  I hope you like!
