Good morning – it’s….Friday!! Whoo-hoooo!!!! I am ready for a weekend, y’all – how’s about you??
My card today is one that reminds me of those old kids toys – I think they were…Lite’N’Brites? Some such. Mine uses the new Silhouette Scenes stamp set and bundled Sweet Silhouettes die set. Plus some See a Silhouette DSP and…the awesome and (for me) long-awaited Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Take a look-see!
I started by using the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate to emboss a Basic Black panel in the new Scripty 3D folder. That new plate works really well, y’all! 🙂
Next – with the large and lovely die in the Sweet Silhouettes Dies, I cut a tree branch from one of the beautiful designs in the See A Silhouette DSP. I used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the embossed panel – then trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips.
I used Liquid Glue to double mat the panel – first on Poppy Parade and then on Crushed Curry.
For the sentiment, I cut a 2″ wide strip of Crushed Curry card stock and punched the top with the new Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Then I stamped a sentiment from Silhouette Scenes in Poppy Parade. Finally – I cut the tag down to its final length of 2″ – and rounded the corners with my Detailed Trio Punch.
I added some faux stitches with my Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Marker – and I adhered a couple more “branches” that I cut with the Sweet Silhouettes dies from the same See A Silhouette paper I started with. Finally, I used a Glue Dot to add a small bow from the Crushed Curry 3/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I popped the completed tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!
On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a dark silhouette in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and a sentiment in Poppy Parade to a Whisper White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry mats and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Silhouette Scenes image in Tuxedo Black on the front…
…and more See A Silhouette DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Wow – I am a sucker for a sweet Silhouette Scene – aren’t you?? And when these gorgeous die cuts and images are paired with the stunningly pretty See A Silhouette DSP….well. The results are wunnermus!! And the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder! Thank goodness and THANK YOU, STAMPIN’ UP!!! I hope you like!

We have reevaluated our strategy for launching Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blades (item 126995) after the number of difficulties demonstrators and customers experienced during the South Pacific and European launches.
First, we have decided to reduce the limit on blades from six to three. We anticipate blades to sell out quickly, but hope more demonstrators and customers will be able to order with the smaller limit.
Second, we still plan to notify demonstrators through an update with the exact date and time the blades will become orderable (which will NOT be this week, as previously indicated). For this first launch in North America, we will send an email to anyone who requested a notification about when the blades would become available. For future launches, updates will be announced to Demonstrators ahead of time.
Third, we have made several internal system adjustments to avoid the issues we faced with previous launches in the South Pacific and Europe and are hopeful those errors will not be repeated.
Finally, there are different error messages you will see if trying to add the blades to an order before they become available and after they have sold out.
- On the day of the launch, if you try to order the Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blades before they are available, you will see this error message: “You may not order 1 of item 126995 because of promotion restrictions.”
- When the blades have sold out, the message will return to the current message until the next launch: “This item has been discontinued and cannot be added to your order (126995).”
We also want to remind you we are still working on a new trimmer option and hope to have more information to share in the coming months.
A quick note from me: Stampin’ Up! did not provide a date and time when the blades will be available to order. So keep an eye on my blog and newsletter and I’ll post those details as soon as we have them! But I wanted to post this update since many of you have been asking about the Trimmer Blades.

On Thursday, Wayne was out working and I needed to run to the Post Office. I decided to leave the Man out.
As in – OUT of the kennel. Loose in the house. Free to wander at will.
When I left, I told him to guard the house and take care of Katy.
Upon my return…it appeared he’d kept us safe!
Uhhm..nooooo he is NOT that tall! That’s a boing-ing guard-Aussie trying to see thru the window to determine Friend or Foe!
The window of the incredibly dirty garage door! 🙁
Whew! Glad it’s you, Mom!!

Stunning! Have a great weekend.
Thanks, Karen – you, too! 🙂
Oh, what a pretty card! Love the bright colors on the tree branches. And Finn does look like he did a very good job of protecting the place and the cat. Good thing that he’s just tall enough to see out the window when he’s boing-ing. 😉
He can get some SERIOUS air when he needs it! Handy skill for a guard-Aussie! Thanks much, Amy! 🙂
Great card and a great guard dog! He does look relieved. 🙂
Yes – he was happy to pass the stick back to the Mom! Thanks, Julie! 🙂
wunnermus for sure! I love the colors and that branch!
That was a lot of responsibility for Finn! Sounds like the managed like a champ.
Yes, ma’am – he Soldiered thru like the Man that he is! Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂
Love your card Mary. Will have to CAS one of these days! Happy Birthday tomorrow! Hope you have been celebrating all month. It is your birthday month after all.
Thank you so much, Shirley! 🙂
