Stampin’ Up! All That You Are Birthday

Well – we did it again!  Made it to Friday – and (for some folks!) – the Friday of a three-day weekend!  If that’s YOU – hope you’ve got some fun plans!  If, like me, you’re working on Monday…well.  Bleh.

My card today is a springy little number (like the Season, not like a slinky!).  I used the very first stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog – called All That You Are.  To that, I added a little Gingham Gala DSP and…take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

And the color palette hails from The Paper Players – I picked Granny Apple Green for my “free” color!

I started by adhering a piece of Grapefruit Grove paper from Gingham Gala to a Daffodil Delight panel for the card front.  Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon and one of Grapefruit Grove 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon around the panel, securing them in the back with Glue Dots.

For the art, I used my Stamparatus and stamped the large flower from All That You Are in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I colored the flowers with a Blender Pen, picking up Grapefruit Grove ink from the lid of the ink pad.  Then I used a Pool Party Stampin’ Write Marker for the small flowers and my Daffodil Delight Marker for the stamen.  The leaves were done with my Dark and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

I matted the panel on Daffodil Delight and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the smaller flowers and several leaves in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the flowers and leaves just like I’d done on the larger version – and then cut them out. I used the dies in the Frosted Bouquet Framelits to cut the flowers and fussy cut the leaves.

I adhered the leaves with Liquid Glue, then popped the flowers over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the All That You Are sentiment in Pool Party on Whisper White and cut it with a new Rectangle Stitched Framelit die.

I used several Glue Dots to wind a few loops of the Grapefruit Grove ribbon, then popped the sentiment over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a Pool Party sentiment and a Tuxedo Black flower from All That You Are to a Whisper White panel.  I colored the flower in Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green, and Daffodil Delight.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another All That You Are flower on the front…

…and some more of the Gingham Gala DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This All That You Are is such a pretty set – love those flowers!  And how handy that the smaller flowers fit the carrying-over Frosted Bouquet Framelits!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

The other day, we were playing a little chase-the-mushroom-ball and…Finn had a little accident.

He was leaping around waiting for me to throw the mushroom and in his bounding about – he bumped into the rock wall with his leg.

He sort of “oomph’d” and then trotted half-heartedly after the ball.

I called him back to me and told him I was so sorry.

And kissed it all better.

Figuratively.  I KNOW there that paw has been!

He bravely shook it off and with a toss of his ear-balls, galloomphed off to where he thought the ball had gone.

He was wrong – but…I got him close and he finally got it!

He’s a tough kid – but…sometimes, ya just need a little TLC from the Mom!
