Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge and I know you’ll see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.
A friend of mine is graduating with his Master’s degree this weekend, so I decided to make a card for him, using a couple of new 2019 Occasions Catalog products! I pulled out the new Well Said bundle (which includes the massive 24-die Well Written Framelits set), the Incredible Like You stamp set and some Happiness Blooms Memories & More goodies! Take a look-see:
Our color challenge was fun! I picked Night of Navy as my Free Choice color!
I borrowed my layout from the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge this week.
I started with one of the large Happiness Blooms Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (available on 3 Jan) for my base. I took four likely sentiments from the Well Said stamp set and add them all to an acrylic block. Then I stamped them all over the front of the card base in Night of Navy Ink.
Next, I trimmed down one of the smaller card panels in the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack (2019 Occasions) and matted it on Gold Foil. Then I adhered it to the side of the card front with Liquid Glue.
I adhered a Pearlized Doily with some more Liquid Glue.
The next layer is another design in the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack that I cut with the die in the Frosted Bouquet Framelits. I cut the mat from Gold Foil with the handy die from Frosted Bouquet, and adhered them together with Liquid Glue.
I cut a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Framelits circle and stamped it in Night of Navy with a single sentiment word from Well Said, then adhered it to a Gold Foil die cut from the Doily Builder Thinlits (coming on 3 Jan).
I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Frosted Bouquet label and the matted circle, and used them to wind a few loops of Gold Metallic Thread. Then I popped the whole thing onto the card front.
I cut two Night of Navy sentiments with the Well Written Thinlits and adhered them with Liquid Glue. Then I added a few gold Metallic Pearls and the card front was done.
On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Incredible Like You stamp set (another goodie coming in the Occasions catalog on 3 Jan 19) in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel. I added a single gold Metallic Pearl…
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Gold Foil mat and into my Happiness Blooms Card base and the card was done!
The Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card & Envelopes envelope got a couple three images from the Dear Doily set in Night of Navy on the front…
…and I didn’t have to do a durned thing to the flap – Stampin’ Up! gave it a pretty liner for me!
Et Voila! SO many cool things in the catalog that you’ll be able to pick up on 3 Nov! One of the most obvious “must-haves” is the Well Said bundle – chock-a-block full of sentiment die and matching images to make all sorts of wonderful sentiments of your own! And the Dear Doily is a gorgeous set – don’t let it be a “flyover” set, okay? Hope you like!

You have made this bundle go right to the top of “making my quota” list for first quarter 2019! You do such a marvelous job of putting many elements together. I’m sure your friend will love his card and kudos to him! I also hope you are a winner at the challenge site. It’s a winner in my book, especially with the stamping the words all over the card base.
