Mornin’, y’all. It’s Monday, the Monday after we lost #41. He’s with Barbara and his little girl, now – but…we’re worse for the loss of George H.W. Bush. He was a great man and a great patriot, who exuded grace and civility throughout his Presidency and his entire life of service.
I’m proud to have served under you, sir.
I’ve got a quick and easy card for you today – one that you can whip out in a heartbeat! A little paper – in this case from the All Is Bright DSP – and stamp and some ink! The Merry Christmas To All set is perfect if you want a big, bold sentiment! Take a look-see…
The layout was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week – although I turned it a little! 🙂
And the theme is from The Paper Players challenge!
Buckle-up, Buttercup – this’ll take about two blinks of an eye!
Ready?!
I started with a plain piece of paper from the All Is Bright DSP and matted it on Real Red for the card front.
Then I matted a smaller piece on Real Red and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the large sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I added the flourish in Real Red, matted the panel on Real Red – and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished it with a Gold Metallic Pearl and the card front was done!
Told ya! 😉
On the inside, I added a second Shaded Spruce sentiment and a Real Red flourish to a Whisper White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Merry Christmas To All flourishes in Real Red on the front…
…and then I put some more of the All Is Bright DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This very basic layout is perfect with some All Is Bright greenery and a bold, center-stage-taking sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set! And – you could do this same design with any of your favorite DSPs and a big, stand-out sentiment! Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Today’s Finn Fan Fix has absolutely nothing to do with Finn.
Well – he DID go up to the gate to pick up the boxes.
So…it’s Finn-Fan-Fix-Adjacent! 🙂
We got a call from the Amazon Sunday delivery lady saying she had two boxes for us – so we just had her leave them inside the gate and then Wayne and the Man went and got them.
I was trying to remember what I’d ordered. I’m a bit of a Prime-a-holic, y’all. Not gonna lie.
So anyway – Wayne comes back in with…
Now I’m totally stumped. What the….??
No kidding. Three items and the packing slip. Not another thing. Those could have fit in a padded envelope – and not even needed a very BIG one!! LOL!!
Well – it’s a good box for mailing Christmas I guess!! 🙂

Great easy peasy card and I like that you turned it. Amazon amazes me with the way they ship things and sometimes they are separate instead of in one package mailed out same day, from same place! Boggles my mind. Have a great week.
Yep – one has to wonder! Thanks, Karen! 🙂
One reason I quit ordering from Amazon……their poor packaging.
They shipped 3 markers that way. The box was so hollow, it was damaged leaving gaps for the markers to fall out.
Neenah cardstock…..corners badly damaged due to lack of any padding to secure cardstock.
And…..The waste with oversized boxes!
Yea – these are things that make you say…hmmmm! Thanks, Beth!
Rest in peace, 41. 🌹
Very nice card…
Very odd mailing.
Indeed. Thanks, Mom!
Love your card! The clean design is perfect and you picked the perfect background papers too! Ha! Yep, I ordered 3 boxes of cereal on Amazon and all 3 showed up in different boxes on different days…doesn’t seem to be the most cost effective way to do things, but the do get the stuff to us quickly! 🙂
And it’s VERY cost effective for ME. FREE!! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Such a great Christmas card! Love those traditional Christmas colours! Such pretty patterned paper too! That is a BIG box for three tiny things!!! Sometimes you gotta wonder! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Yes – I thought so, too! Maybe they were all out of right-size boxes! Thanks much, Jen! 🙂
Wow, what a super take on the sketch. Even I can CASE this one! Thanks for the good idea! It’s a beautiful card!
I haven’t seen such extreme packaging! they obviously subscribe to the bigger is better philosophy!
Perhaps they’re from Texas?!? 😉 Thanks much, Susan – have fun with it! 🙂
Classy and oh so elegant! Beautiful holiday card! Glad you shared it at FMS!
Thank you, ma’am! Appreciate you stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
