Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Well on a Country Lane

Mornin’, y’all!  Welcome to the weekend!  I’ve got three more sleeps and then Amy and I will be road-tripping our way to Orlando for OnStage!  Whoo-hoo!

Until then – busy getting ready to be gone!  And enjoying Fall in the South!  It’s truly our best time!

My card for today is an easy-making card suitable to send to anyone who just needs a little note from a friend.  I used the wonderful Wishing You Well (really really hope this one carries over!) stamp set and a little Country Lane DSP.  Take a look-see:

This layout is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And the color scheme is from the TGIF Color Challenge.

I made the card front by adhering a piece of Country Lane DSP to a Cajun Craze mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.  Then I wrapped some Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the panel, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

I trimmed a Chicken Wire Element down a smidge and adhered it with little teensy bits of Liquid Glue.

I stamped the pretty bouquet from Wishing You Well in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I stamped the flowers image in stamped-off-once Merry Merlot.  And the ribbon in full-strength Merry Merlot.  Then I cut it with the largest oval in the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I popped the image onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Wishing You Well sentiment in Cajun Craze on a piece of Crumb Cake and cut it with the Classic Label Punch.  Then I added faux stitches in Merry Merlot with my Stampin’ Write Marker.  The sentiment is adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the left side and Liquid Glue on the right.

To finish off, I stamped the ribbon again on a piece of scrap Crumb Cake and fussy cut it.  Then I popped it over the stamped ribbon image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I brushed it with Clear Wink of Stella – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a stamped-off-once Crumb Cake bouquet to a Crumb Cake panel.  Then I added Merry Merlot faux stitches.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Merry Merlot mat (oops – that should have been Cajun Craze!!) and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a full-strength bouquet in Crumb Cake and Merry Merlot on the front…

…and I added more Country Lane DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wishing You Well has got to be one of my very favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog!  I just think it’s gorgeous!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

My Finn is possessed by the Green-Eyed Monster.

Yep.  He’s a jelly-belly!!

Also – he has a very strong sense of fair-play.

Cat sleeps on sofa?!?

Dog sleeps on sofa.

Cat lays on Mom?

Dog lays on Mom.

A sweet purring cat asleep on your lap and a sweet not-purring dog resting his chin on you arm while you watch a little screen on a chilly Fall evening.

It’s not awful!
