Stampin’ Up! Snowfall Merry Christmas To All

Good morning, y’all!  Hope your week has gone well and that you’re ready for the weekend.

If you were in Hurricane Michael’s path, my thoughts and prayers are with you – I hope that you were spared as much as possible.

In that vein, Stampin’ Up! alerted us yesterday to a statement issued by UPS:

**********

Because of severe conditions caused by Hurricane Michael, UPS is temporarily putting a halt on pickups and deliveries in parts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. To see if your area will be affected, visit the service alert page on the UPS website and enter your ZIP code into the search field.

We regret any inconvenience this situation may cause, but the safety of UPS employees comes first. If you (or anyone you know) live in an affected area, please stay safe and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest assured that UPS will ensure all shipments reach their final destination as quickly as conditions permit.

***********

If you’re in one of those areas, go to the UPS link above and it’ll tell you if your area is affected.

For those of you who expressed concern about our place on the south side of Atlanta, Wayne told me that we didn’t even get much rain or wind, so we’re fine.  Thank you all so much for worrying about us!

Now – on to more cheerful topics, yes?

I made a quick and easy card for you today with the fun Merry Christmas to All stamp set, the Swirls & Curls TIEF and a couple of little goodies from the Snowflake Showcase (coming on 1 Nov).  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

I started by embossing a Whisper White panel in the Swirls & Curls TIEF and adhering it to a Poppy Parade mat for the card front.

Next, I used my Stamparatus to ink and stamp the large-and-lovely sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All set in Poppy Parade on a smaller Whisper White panel.

I stamped two of the smaller holly images in Shaded Spruce – then added three little dots from the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes.

I adhered the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

From a piece of new White Velvet Paper (coming on 1 November with the Snowflake Showcase suite), I cut three little snowflakes using the Snowfall Thinlits (also part of the Snowflake Showcase!) and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  I gave each snowflake a white dot from the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added a another sentiment (these are two individual stamps) from Merry Christmas To All in Poppy Parade on a Whisper White panel.  I added some Shaded Spruce Holly and a couple more Santa’s Workshop Enamel dots.  Sorry for the odd lighting… 🙁

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few more Shaded Spruce holly sprigs on the front  I used my Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Marker to add a few little dots (berries) to each sprig…

…and I added some Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Merry Christmas To All set – which coordinates with the Merry Christmas Thinlits – works very nicely all on it’s own!  This big sentiment is wonderful – and does all the work for you!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn-ster likes yoghurt.

You know – cuz of how it’s healthy for him and stuff.

Probiotics.  Pre-botics.  Middle-biotics.  All the biotics are covered.

Oh – and coconut…

The carton holds out for about 5 minutes of focused licking and hand-holding.  Then he starts to carry it around and…well.  That’s about the end of it!

You buy them toys and bones and treats.

And they just want a yoghurt carton!

  1. What a pretty card! Perfect clean design for Christmas. Glad that you didn’t have any damage at your house from that crazy storm! Yep, Finn is like a typical kid…plays more with the box that the toy came in than the toy. You need to train him to put his container in the trash when he’s done. 😉

That would be a good trick, indeed! Of course he might “put one in, take one out!” Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. It’s like babies for their first Christmas. All they care about is the wrapping paper! He is such a cutie patootie and brings me such joy…as do you you with your creations. I also delight in hearing (reading) you say Stamapotamus rather than Stamparatus…you didn’t do that today though! See, I really do read through your blog…I don’t just look at the pretty pictures 🙂 So glad everything was okay in Fay’ville.

Ha! I’ll have to start slipping odd words in here and there! So…stay vigilant! Thank you so much, Karen! 🙂

Lovely card Mary… looks like a good one for mass production.

    Finn is just adorable…

    • stampsnlingers

It really would be! Especially with the Stamparatus! Thanks so much, Bernice! 🙂

  4. Ha! Every toy I bought my dog got buried in the yard, so I quit. Hooray for yogurt cartons.
Glad you all are safe and prayers for others.
Wonderful card. I really like that sentiment. And to think that when I first saw it, I had no desire for that stamp set! Great Christmas colors.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it’s sort of a sleeper set, isn’t it? Thanks very much, Julie! 🙂

  6. Karen L.

I enjoy your Finny, but now that you are in CO for a little visit……how about some CO pics. We lived there for 20 yrs. & miss the mountains, the aspens & dry air!!! Just thought a couple CO pics would be great!!

    • stampsnlingers

I can do that!! I’ll try to grab some pics and get them up! Thanks much, Karen! 🙂

Thank you, Tristan – appreciate you stopping by! 🙂

  9. At first glance, your card is a gorgeous, almost CAS design. And then, I started to notice all the fun details like the embossing, the velvet snowflakes and the way the Poppy Parade matting enhances it all. Beautifully done! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday. P.S. Love the Finn stories! He is one cute dog.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you very much, Gail – appreciate the kind words on my card. And my sweet Finn! 🙂
