Stampin’ Up! Blended Seasons Country Lane for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a sketch challenge, and I hope you’ll check out everyone’s projects when you’re done here!

Since the new Blended Seasons stamp set and bundled Stitched Season Framelits are available right now (and only while supplies last!), I decided to showcase them.  And I’m giving you a little peek at a new Designer Series Paper – the Country Lane DSP from the Holiday Catalog.  Take a look-see:

See the beauty of this bundle?  Yesterday’s card – same bundle, different paper….

…totally different feel, look and purpose! 🙂

Here’s our challenge sketch for this week – you can see I didn’t get too far from it!

I started with some wonderful Fall-y paper from the Country Lane DSP (available now to Demonstrators or in Starter Kits and 5 Sept to customers!) matted on Cajun Craze for the card front.

The banner piece is a different design in the same paper pack, with the ends cut in my Banner Triple Punch.  Then I used a non-SU! White Gel Pen to create faux stitches and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a label with the die in the Stitched Season Framelits from Whisper White card stock.  On it, I stamped a few wheat stalks from Blended Seasons in Crushed Curry.  Then I added a Blended Seasons sentiment in Cajun Craze and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the leaf dies from Stitched Season, I cut two detailed oak leaves – one from the same Country Lane DSP that I’d used on the card front and one from Blackberry Bliss card stock – and a single Blackberry Bliss small leaf.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the stems of the leaves to the bottom corner of the sentiment label.  Over top, with a Glue Dot, I added a True Gentleman Button.

I used two lengths of Linen Thread, tied a bow, and adhered it to the button with a scrunched up Glue Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped some more Blended Seasons wheat stalks in Crushed Curry on a Whisper White panel.  Then I added some Cajun Craze faux stitches with my Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and then into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Blended Seasons wheat on the front…

…and some wood-design Country Lane DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The versatility of this bundle is so amazing, don’t you think?  In addition to Christmas and Fall, it’s also got a beautiful spray of flowers for Spring or Summer cards!  I love it in its Fall look atop the new and lovely Country Lane DSP.  Hope you like – and are making plans to add this limited-time beauty to your stash!

  1. Here we go again…I think I don’t need anything or want anything and you just keep wowing me with these products. I don’t have my Stampin’ Trimmer with me, just a card kit so I’ll just have to wait until September. Love that particular piece of DSP.

Aren’t you glad you’re a demonstrator and get that big discount?!? 🙂 Enjoy the time with your family – your craft spot will be there when you get home! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  2. Simply stunning Mary! The colors are just perfect, great way to use that stamp set! 🙂

  3. Well! all of a sudden in the middle of my comment it went away! I hope it doesn’t post twice. Once again you wow me with your card. Very lovely. The wheat stamp is wonderful with the Country Lane DSP, which BTW isn’t in your product list. Just sayin’. May have to CAS this one when my paper arrives.

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – only came up once! Weird. The Country Lane isn’t in the Product List cuz it’s not available yet! Come 5 Sept, I’ll be able to have it in there when I use it! Thanks so much! 🙂

  4. Kate

    Lovely card for fall…

Oh – I’ll bet it is! It’s usually lovely in GA, too – I’m glad I’ll be home for it! Thanks so much, Bernice! 🙂

  6. This beautiful card sealed the deal for me, Mary! I have to order this set TODAY! You created another amazing card totally different from yesterdays but with the same layout and I love the versatility you get from one stamp set. It’s a shame it’s not in the Holiday Catalog! Gotta say, I love those stitched dies! TFS 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I know – I really like them. Thanks very much, Wendy! 🙂
