Stampin’ Up! A Tutti-Frutti Good Day for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop – the first one of 2018!!  And it’s a sketch week to get us started off on the right foot!  Be sure to check out all the ladies’ projects when you’re done here, won’t you?

Here’s the simple sketch we worked with today…

When I first saw the new 2018 Occasions catalog, I fell in love with an unassuming little stamp set – and some adorable embellishments.  It’s the A Good Day stamp set and the Mini Embroidery Hoops!  I paired them up with some Tutti-Frutti DSP and…take a look-see:

Quick and easy!

I started with a fun striped paper from the Tutti-Frutti DSP stack and cut a circle in it with a Circles Layering Framelits die.  While I had the die set out, I made a scalloped frame from Berry Burst card stock.  I adhered that over the hole with some Liquid Glue.

I Fast Fuse’d another piece of Tutti-Frutti – the Peekaboo Peach paper – onto a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.  Then I popped the striped panel over the top of that with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the center art piece, I stamped the cute little A Good Day image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White.  The “stitched” circle is another image in the set – stamped in Peekaboo Peach.  I used my Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers to color the little “scene” – and punched it out with the new 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle punch.  I adhered one of the smaller Mini Embroidery Hoop Embellishments to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I popped the art piece into the hoop with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from A Good Day, was stamped in Berry Burst on Whisper White and cut it out with the Classic Label Punch, edged it with a Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I added a Daffodil Delight heart Enamel Shape to the sentiment and then wrapped some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  I used two more lengths of the Baker’s Twine and tied a double bow around the wrapped twine and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked the second sentiment from A Good Day with my Basic Black and Berry Burst Markers and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp it in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  I colored the leaves with the Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green Markers.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Berry Burst card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added another little scene from A Good Day…

…and added a little more of the Tutti-Frutti DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  See why I fell for the A Good Day stamp set?  And those embroidery hoops – adorable!  Hope you like! 🙂

THE PICTURE PERFECT PAPER RIBBON WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ORDER!

At the end of November, Stampin’ Up! notified Demonstrators that the Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon (145502) was unavailable for preorder due to environmental audits halting production of thousands of factories across China. Unfortunately, they have continued to experience delays in production. As a result, they’ve decided the best course of action is to remove this item from their product offering.

We know many of you—just like us—were eagerly anticipating the release of this product. They want you to know how sorry they are about this turn of events. They thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

For those who’ve ordered my shares: When I placed the shares order this morning, I added an extra Silver Gable Box and some additional yards of Silver Baker’s Twine – so you’ll still receive the same amount of beautiful embellishments.  So sorry about this, we were just notified this morning of this item being unavailable!
