Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  This is color week – and it was a bit of a doozy! – so be sure to check out everyone’s project to see how they worked it, okay?

Here’s our color scheme….

I took the easy way out and used some of the new Cupcakes & Carousels DSP (which uses Bermuda Bay and Peekaboo Peach!) and added in some of the fun stamped images and die cuts from the Lift Me Up Bundle (which included the Up & Away Thinlits – with a cool 10% saving!), along with a sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I also used a layout design from the Mojo Monday challenge for this week!

So.  I started out with a cloudy design in the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP stack (love this paper!!).  I knew I’d be using an Early Espresso mat, but I didn’t adhere the paper to it just yet.

My first circle element is a Stitched Shapes circle cut from Peekaboo Peach, on which I stamped the cute little cloud image from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Peekaboo Peach.  Then I matted that on a scallop circle cut from Early Espresso with a Circles Layering Framelits die.

I used a new Lace Doily and adhered it to the card front with the Very Vanilla side up using Liquid Glue, then added my matted circle over the top.  Then I trimmed the excess off with my Stampin’ Trimmer.

My next layer is a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock, with Lift Me Up clouds stamped in Bermuda Bay, matted on Early Espresso and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up?  A Copper Foil balloon cut with the die in the Up & Away Thinlits.  Behind the balloon, I used the dies in the set to cut pieces of Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay design paper from Cupcakes & Carousels, and adhered them to the balloon with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped it over the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals (I used Liquid Glue on the basket) and trimmed the excess.

My sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Not that there aren’t perfectly good sentiments in the Lift Me Up set – it was just that I needed the right shape and size for my square sentiment (to go along with the sketch!).  So…I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay on Peekaboo Peach card stock and cut it with a square Stitched Shapes Framelit.  It’s matted on a scalloped square in Early Espresso – cut with the Squares Layering Framelits.  I used Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

At this point – I SNAILd the whole thing to its Early Espresso mat.  To finish it off, I added the little paper bow from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit with a dab of Liquid Glue.  And it looked a little plain, so I gave it a Peekaboo Peach dot from the 2016 -2018 Enamel Shapes pack.  And that was it for the card front! 🙂

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Bermuda Bay on a Very Vanilla panel.  To the side, I stamped a Peekaboo Peach Lift Me Up balloon.  Since I’d used this image on a previous card, I still had the sticky note mask I made, so I stuck that over the balloon and added a couple of Bermuda Bay clouds – that I stamped off once before stamping the card.

I SNAILd the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more of the Lift Me Up balloons and clouds across the front…

…and I added more of the pretty Cupcakes & Carousels DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love that this DSP has the same stylized clouds like the one in the Lift Me Up stamp set!  And that balloon die in the Up & Away Thinlits set is just gorgeous, isn’t it?  Hope you like! 🙂

Beautiful card Mary! That DSP is perfect with the hot air balloon! Love it! Are you hoping for Thick Very Vanilla CS like I am? Maybe in the upcoming annual catalog? Fingers crossed:-)

    • I know a lot of folk like the thick Whisper White – I kind of like being able to add all my layers! But – having it in both colors would be cool for those who love it – so I’ll keep my fingers crossed, too! 🙂 Thanks much, Elisha! 🙂
