Good morning, y’all – welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop – this week we’re featuring the cool new products in the 2017 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs!!  I can’t wait to see what all the ladies come up with and I hope you’ll spend some time scrolling thru all their offerings today!

I decided to play with the Tasty Trucks stamp set – a free goody from the Sale-A-Bration flyer.  And I used it to also make some designer paper of my own!  Take a look-see:

I used the sketch portion from the Fusion challenge this week!

And my color palette is from the Can You CASE It color challenge:

cyci-144-challenge
I started with a piece of Bermuda Bay paper from the Brights DSP Stack, matting it on Melon Mambo card stock for the card front.

The next layer is a piece of Whisper White card stock – and this is where I made my own personal DSP.  Using Smoky Slate ink and the cake and ice cream cones images in the Tasty Trucks stamp set, I stamped them from top to bottom.  Then I used my Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencils to color them all in.

I layered it on Melon Mambo and SNAILd it to the card front.

For my Tasty Truck, I stamped it in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and fussy cut it.  I added a Tasty Truck sentiment in Melon Mambo, added a Melon Mambo banner string, and a couple of Smoky Slate cupcakes.  Then I used the Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray Watercolor Pencils to start coloring.  I did cheat on the color challenge and used a tiny bit of the Daffodil Delight pencil to give the truck a proper headlight!

I finished up with a couple of Bermuda Bay hearts from the Brights Enamel Shapes.

The final bit was to use some Liquid Glue to adhere a new Lace Doily to the card front, then I popped the Tasty Truck over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second Tasty Trucks sentiment in Melon Mambo on a Whisper White panel.  Then I repeated the banners and a couple of Smoky Slate cupcakes and colored them all with Watercolor Pencils.

I SNAILd the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Melon Mambo banners and a Smoky Slate cake on the front…

…and added some more Bermuda Bay DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This little stamp set is really cute – it’s got tacos and hot dogs in addition to the cake (hey – wait!  Do you think those might have been…pancakes?!?  Oh jeez!!).  Any way – it’s sweet and I hope you like the card! 🙂
