Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up and Away Thanks!

Hello hello!  It’s Friday again – gotta love a 4-day work week, huh?

Finn’s playing me, folks.  He’s giving me hugs and…

finn-and-me-in-the-chair
…loving me up in the chair.

But then I get…this…

What you can’t see is me standing in the door calling him.  Patting my leg.  Bending over and clapping my hands.  Bribing him with a treat (I’m not proud of it but…desperate times, shameful measures.  Don’t judge!).  He didn’t want to come in – he was perfectly happy laying on the seat of the golf cart, watching the world go by.

Teenagers! 😉

The card I have to share with you today is one that uses the Lift Me Up Bundle in the Occasions catalog.  Buy the bundle in Wood – and you’ve just earned your first Sale-A-Bration free gift!  Take a look-see at what I did with it today.

I was playing along with the Global Design Project challenge – which was a CASE The Designer challenge.

And I used the sketch from My Favorite Things for my design.

The designer’s card for the GDP challenge led me to use the polka-dot paper from the 2016-2018 Designer Series Paper stack (instead of the fun Up and Away DSP that I got as a free gift from Sale-A-Bration!).  And, it obviously drove the balloons and the colors.

I started with a piece of Dapper Denim DSP from the DSP stack, and matted it on Flirty Flamingo for the card front.  I wrapped a piece of Flirty Flamingo 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon around the panel, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

The next layer is a banner made from Crumb Cake card stock, stamped with multiple Whisper White Craft Ink clouds from Lift Me Up, cut with the Banner Triple Punch and matted on Flirty Flamingo.  I used a White Gel Pen to make “stitches” on the banner.  It’s popped on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My balloon is cut from Copper Foil with the large intricate balloon die in the Up and Away Thinlits.  I cut pieces to put behind the balloon – using the dies made for that purpose in the Thinlits set.  I alternated Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper, with the basket cut in Flirty Flamingo.  I adhered the pieces to the back of the Copper balloon using Liquid Glue – with the polka dot pattern facing out.

I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the balloon over the Crumb Cake banner.  Then I added the thanks banner.  It also comes from the Lift Me Up set and is stamped in Dapper Denim on Whisper White, then I fussy cut it.  I popped it on the card front with a Dimensional, and used my Dapper Denim Stampin’ Write Marker to make “strings” between the balloon and the banner.

I cut several clouds from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered them willy nilly across the card front with Liquid Glue.  As a last touch, I adhered Rhinestone Basic Jewels across the balloon!

On the inside, I used another little strip of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped Lift Me Up clouds in Whisper White Craft Ink across it, matted it on Flirty Flamingo card stock and SNAILd it to the panel.  For the center, I inked a small balloon in Dapper Denim and stamped-it-off-twice, then stamped the panel.  I used stamped-off-once Smoky Slate to stamp some tiny clouds around the balloon.  I did use a little sticky note mask for the balloon to make a few clouds appear behind the balloon!

I SNAILd the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat, then into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Crumb Cake Medium Envelope got a couple of Dapper Denim Lift Me Up balloons and Whisper White Craft Ink clouds across the front…

…and a little more Dapper Denim DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! The Lift Me Up bundle is really fun – gotta love that big, beautiful balloon!  Hope you like!
