Stampin’ Up! Online Extravaganza and a Stamps-N-Lingers Ordering Special Starts Today!

As it happens, I made a little project for you today using the Gift Bag Punch Board, the Embellished Ornaments stamp set, Delicate Ornaments Thinlits, and the Metallic Enamel Shapes!  Coincidence?!?

I think not!

Take a look-see:

The first step was to make the Gift Bag itself from a piece of Real Red card stock.  I used the handy Stampin’ Up! tutorial…

….and I made a large-sized bag.  So I cut my card stock 12″ long and 7 1/8″ tall.  I also punched holes for my ribbon while I was at it, and…as the video suggests…used Fast Fuse as my adhesive!

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then, using my Real Red and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers, I colored the holly image in the set and stamped it next to the sentiment using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  Finally, I SNAILd the panel to an Emerald Envy mat and used Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere it to the front of my gift bag.

For the ornaments, I stamped the image in Versamark twice on Whisper White, then sprinkled one with Real Red Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder and one with Emerald Envy.  Once I heat embossed them and they cooled, I cut them with the die in the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.  Then I used more Liquid Glue to adhere them to the bag.

I made a removable ornament by cutting a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and a backer from Silver Foil and adhering them together with Liquid Glue.  I punched a hole in the top with my 1/8″ Circle Handheld Punch and ran a length of Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine thru as a hangar.  The recipient can take it off the bag and hang it on their tree!

I threaded a length of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon thru the holes I’d punched in the bag, tied a bow and threaded my Dazzling Diamonds ornament on it.  Then I added a few Silver Metallic Enamel Shapes to the front of the bag – and it was done!

This punch board is a real handy way to use card stock or Designer Series Paper to create gift bags in three different sizes (you can make them as tall as you want – the sizes refer to the size of the bottom of the bag) quickly and easily!  Think of the possibilities for gift-giving this holiday season and all thru the year! 🙂
