Stampin’ Up! Sunburst Over the Rainbow and…Blog Candy!

Yep – that’s my somewhat confused Christmas Cactus. That picture was not taken at Christmas. Nope – it was taken this morning! It’s going a little bit crazy. Apparently it’s on a Euclidian calendar. Or a Martian calendar. Or…something! Cuz it didn’t do such a great job blooming at the Christmas that we all just observed! 🙂 But, I admit that I love it – I think it’s just one of the prettiest things around and I haven’t been able to kill it yet – it just gets all gorgeous in spite of me!

So – in honor of its blooming beauty and insistence that it simply must be Christmas somewhere….I’m giving away some blog candy! Read on down and I’ll tell you what you need to do to get entered!

Today’s share is my first attempt at using the Sunburst Thinlit. I’ve tried a few times and just not been successful. I have no idea why – it just kind of bamboozles me! But today – I think I got it! I added a very apropos sentiment from the Over the Rainbow stamp set (Annual Catalog) and some pretty Wildflower Fields DSP. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Builder Sunburst Sayings Thanks!

Hey there, y’all! It’s the next to last hauwmp day that I’ll be coming to you from Arizona! Yep – the countdown is on. Well, I’ve been counting down since I got here, but we’re practically to single digits now! 🙂

My only regret will be leaving my little stamping spot that I’ve set up in my hotel. It’s really been quite awesome! If you missed the post where I showed you those pictures, check it out here! (Just don’t get excited by the words Blog Candy – that contest is over. Sorry! 🙁 )

The card I made to share with you today uses the cool Botanical Builders Framelits from the Occasions catalog. Last weekend, my new friend Carole bought the great Botanical Blooms bundle (hard not to when you realize that you get the Stamps and the Framelits and the coordinating DSP! And that it instantly earns you a free SAB item!) and asked if we could do a card using it this Saturday when she and Kelly come back to stamp some more. So… here’s what we’re going to make. It uses sentiments from the new Sunburst Sayings stamp set, too. Take a look-see:
