Stampin’ Up! Christmas Tidings All Around for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the today!

Our challenge screamed Christmas and…Toile Tidings.  Well – to me, it did.  So I listened to my inner screamer and…pulled out the Tidings All Around stamp set, with the bundled All-Around Wreath Dies and some of the gorgeous Toile Tidings DSP.  Take a look-see:

And – JIC you weren’t able to figure it out from my oh-so-subtle card – here’s the Color Challenge we were working with! 🙂

And the layout is courtesy of this week’s Inspire.Create Challenge.

I started out by embossing a piece of Very Vanilla card stock in the new Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder and I adhered it with Liquid Glue to the front on a Very Vanilla card base.

Next up is a piece of the Toile Tidings DSP, matted on Real Red and popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut two wreaths with the detailed die in the All-Around Wreath Die set – one from Garden Green and one from Vellum card stock.  I used a few Glue Dots to adhere the Vellum wreath over top of the Garden Green version – then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the whole thing to the Toile Tidings panel.

I stamped the sentiment from Tidings All Around in Real Red on a strip of Very Vanilla and snipped banner ends with my Paper Snips.  Then I edged it with my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

With my Bone Folder – I curled the sentiment banner to make it…all wavy and banner-y!

I stuck a Stampin’ Dimensional under the middle of the banner – and put a little Liquid Glue on each end – then adhered it to the card front.

I tied a little bow from some Real Red 1/8″ Curly Ribbon and stuck it to the top of the wreath (where bows GO on wreaths!) with a Glue Dot.  Some Real Red Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots finished off the wreath – and the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Tidings All Around in Real Red on a Very Vanilla panel.  Over top, in stamped-off-once Garden Green, I added the bough image from Tidings All Around.  Then I stuck on a Garden Green Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into the Very Vanilla card base – and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the greenery bough in full-strength Garden Green on the front…

…and I added more of the Toile Tidings DSP on the envelope flap.  I resisted the urge to go wild and put the Real Red side up! 😉

Et Voila!  This entire Toile Tidings Suite simply remains one of my favorites – and the Tidings All Around set, with the bundled All-Around Wreath Dies – is just perfect for this time of year!  And – it’s pretty cool that the die set ALSO works with the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set (on page 59 of the Holiday catalog).  THAT is what I call bang-for-your-buck!!  I hope you like!
