Stampin’ UP! Arched Elegance Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

We had some new Hot Foil products go live last Tuesday and I wanted to play with one of the new bundles – the Arched Elegance bundle!  I paired it up with a little Country Cottage DSP to make a pretty thank you card.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of woodgrain Country Cottage DSP to a Very Vanilla mat using Liquid Glue.

Using the Stampin’ Hot Foil Machine (backordered right now but expected back the week of 23 Nov!) and the dies in the Arched Elegance die set to hot foil the large arch and each of the flowers and leaves in Gold Hot Foil on another piece of Country Cottage DSP.

I used the dies in the set to cut everything out.

I used Watercolor Pencils to add color to the foiled images – Flirty Flamingo and Cherry Cobbler for the flowers – with Crushed Curry for the flower centers.  And Granny Apple Green and Garden Green for the leaves.

I adhered the large arch to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a gorgeous sentiment from Arched Elegance in Early Espresso ink and cut it out with the larger of the two arch dies in the set.

I adhered the sentiment to the arch with Liquid Glue.

In the corner, I adhered a bow tied with two lengths of Linen Thread with a Mini Glue Dot.

I adhered the largest individual die cut flower over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added one of the medium flowers in the top left corner with a couple of Dimensionals.  Then I added the remaining flowers and leaves – tucking them in here and there – and adhering them with Liquid Glue.

I added some Crumb Cake Cottage Charm Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done.

On the inside, I went old school and adhered a 3/8″ x 4″ strip of the Country Cottage DSP across the bottom of my 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Early Espresso card base and to adhere the card front to the front of the card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Country Cottage DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this new Arched Elegance bundle gorgeous!?  That big arch of flowers – and the coordinating arch (there are actually two in the set) and a label die to cut out pretty sentiments – will be great for so many projects!  And I truly love the Country Cottage DSP SO much!!  It’s just wunnermus!
