Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebrate Spring! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
As we approach Spring in Georgia – our pretty daffodils are making their presence known. So – I took inspiration from them to make an Easter Basket filled with flowers set atop a sunny scene from the Easter Joy Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
And I found some more inspiration from the Festive Friday Inspo List! I got Green, Yellow, Green Gems, Twine and Coins!
I made the card front by cutting a panel of the Easter Joy Specialty DSP down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ then adhering it first to a Lemon Lolly mat and then to a Pretty in Pink mat using Liquid Glue.
Next – I cut out a Lemon Lolly basket using the big die in the Easter Basket set. I also used the “strips” die to cut out some Shy Shamrock and Peach Pie strips. I wove those into the basket – snipping the excess with scissors.
With the dies – I cut out two “grass” dies from Shy Shamrock and used Liquid Glue to adhere one to the back side of the basket. I adhered the second one with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I die cut five of the Easter Basket stem/leaves from Shy Shamrock cardstock and tucked them into the grass – adhering them with Liquid Glue.
For the daffodils, I cut some in Pretty in Pink, Lemon Lolly and Peach Pie cardstock. Using a combination of Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered them onto the stems and leaves.
Then I adhered the basket to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tucked some Flower Accents here and there into the grass – they made me think of Gold Chocolate Coins!
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped an Easter Basket sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue on the left side and a few double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow from two lengths of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the basket with Liquid Glue. Then I added some Shy Shamrock 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the little Easter Basket flowers image a few times in Shy Shamrock across the bottom of a Basic White panel. I colored them with the Light Shy Shamrock, Dark Pretty in Pink, Dark Peach Pie and Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Shy Shamrock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Easter Basket flowers on the front…
…and again on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I think the Easter Basket set is so cute – even without the addition of the darling bunnies. I love that you can “weave” the basket – making it even more festive! And the pretty Easter Joy Specialty DSP has all the Spring-y colors you need!!
