Stampin’ Up! Bokeh Florals & Labels Card for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebrate Spring!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

This time of year means flowers for me.  And – since I live in Georgia – the return of the bugs!  Not all of them are fun – but the butterflies and ladybugs surely are!  The Mixed Florals bundle seemed to really epitomize SPRING!  I used it – and the coordinating Mixed Labels bundle – to make a cheerful thank you card!  Take a look-see:

I selected some elements from the Festive Friday Inspo list. I used Green, Gold, Glitter and Metallic Thread! 🙂

I started this one with a piece of Daffodil Delight paper from the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on a Highland Heather panel to make the card front.

I cut out a Textured Notes rectangle from a piece of Basic White cardstock.  In the top corner, I stamped one of the three cute ladybugs from the Mixed Florals set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored her with the Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend – and adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the large grasses die in the Mixed Florals set to cut out from a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and one from Shy Shamrock 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere both grasses to the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the pretty Mixed Florals image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used Stampin’ Blends to color the image:

– Light and Dark Daffodil Delight for the petals.

– Light and Dark Wild Wheat for the flower centers.

– Light Highland Heather for the small flowers.

– Light Shaded Spruce for the leaves/stems.

I used the coordinating die in the Mixed Florals set to cut out the colored flower and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with two lengths of Gold Twisted Thread and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Mixed Labels sentiment in Highland Heather ink.  I cut it out with the next-to-smallest Textured Notes rectangle die.  I adhered it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On Basic White cardstock, I stamped four little ladybugs in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink – and colored them with the Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.  I cut them out with the little dies in the Mixed Florals die set.  I adhered two to the sentiment with Liquid Glue and the two one the foliage with a half a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I added a bevy of Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Mixed Labels sentiment in Highland Heather on a Basic White panel. I added some more ladybugs in Tuxedo Black and Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Mixed Florals ladybugs on the front…

…and more of the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Aren’t those Mixed Florals beautiful!?  It reminds me of a cottage garden – espeically with the added die cut grasses – so lush and pretty!  The little ladybugs just slay me – hence the reason I added a bunch of them!  Textured Notes has only been around for a minute – but it’s ALREADY a go-to for me!  I hope it will be for you, too!  Mixed Labels is a great set for adding a sentiment or two, too!
