Stampin’ UP! Cute as a Party Bug Sneak Peek Double Eclipse Card with Video

Good morning and happy Sunday!  Hope your weekend is going well and that you’re getting to the end of your need-to-get-done-before-Christmas list!  I have three things left to wrap and I am done! Yeah!

Today I’ve got another sneaky peek at the new Cute as a Bug suite – coming soon on 6 Jan 2026 in the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog.  With the darling paper of the same name – and the coordinating Sweet Bugs bundle – it’s just too stinkin’ cute to NOT have on your gotta-have-it list!  Take a look-see:

Oh – did I not mention that it’s a double-eclipse card?!?  Well – it is!

I started with a piece of the Cute as a Bug DSP.  I used three dies from the Party Alphabet die set (available right now in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog) – to cut out the word “hey” from the DSP.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a Poppy Parade mat for the card front.

I cut out two more of each Party Alphabet letter – this time from Poppy Parade cardstock.

Using Liquid Glue, I stacked the dies up – with the DSP letter on top – to make 3D letters.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere each of the letters back in place on the card front (hence – double eclipse).

I used the Sweet Bugs dies to cut out a little reading ladybug, a buzzy bee and a stem of flowers from the Cute as a Bug DSP.

I adhered them to the letters with Liquid Glue – and a couple double-stacked Dimensionals here and there.

I added three Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes and – the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Sweet Bugs sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the Sweet Bugs caterpillar in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored him with the Light and Dark Old Olive and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Blackberry Bliss card base, adhered the card front on with Liquid Glue and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the caterpillar on the front…

…and more Cute as a Bug DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t the double-eclipse fun?  I love the little peek of Poppy Parade under the letters.  And the Party Alphabet dies (you can get these right now!) make it big, bold and fun!  The Cute as a Bug DSP is a great starting point – this is one of my fave designs in the pack – those berries look so juicy and ready to eat!  The coordinating Sweet Bugs bundle has tons of fun images – and cute sentiments – to stamp and cut out with the bundled dies.  But – being able to cut a bunch of images right from the DSP is…the bomb-diggity!!  Get these on 6 Jan 2026 in the new Mini Catalog!

I hope you like!

I’d just like to point out that it’s not just ME that gives them pony bites.

But he puts them on the ground.  I risk getting my hand removed by the velociraptor! 😳
To be clear – the little one is the velociraptor.  The BIG one is very polite!

Fear the little dogs, y’all!! 😂
