Stampin’ UP! Traditional Labels Greenery Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I used Christmas products to make a card that’s not…necessarily!…for Christmas!  It’s got Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP and the coordinating Christmas Greenery and Traditional Labels bundles – with a few pretty embellishments (cuz…it’s all about accessorizing!).  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

I started by matting some Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP on Bubble Bath cardstock and then adhered it to the front of an Old Olive card base with Liquid Glue.

Using the dies in the Christmas Greenery bundle, I cut out four pine boughs from the gray paper in the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper (to me, that paper reads like very dark blue).  I also cut out four of the large leaves from Gold Foil Sheets.

I trimmed the tops off of each of the pine boughs and leaves and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves and pine tops to the card front.

Using the die in the set, I cut out two “swags” of flowers and pine boughs from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.

I cut out a Cherry Cobbler label using a Traditional Labels die and adhered it over the flowers with Liquid Glue.

Using two lengths of white & Gold Baker’s Twine, I tied a simple bow – adhering it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the Traditional Labels sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a piece of Bubble Bath ink and cut it out with the cool double-banner die in Traditional Labels.

I popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added five Pool Party Traditional Sparkling Sequins and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped another Traditional Labels sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.  In the corner, I stamped the smaller floral from Christmas Greenery in Mossy Meadow ink.  I stamped the leaf-fill image in Old Olive and the flower-fill image in Bubble Bath ink.  And added a few more of the Pool Party Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Old Olive card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the smaller Christmas Greenery image on the front…

…and more of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  These two bundles – Christmas Greenery and Traditional Labels – were – literally! – made for each other and they work perfectly together!! And – the mix and match sentiments will work for lots of different occasions!  When you add the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP – you’ve got a stunning Suite of creative wunnermusness!!
