Stampin’ Up! Masculine Prairie Grass Healing Power Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy half-way-thru the weekend!  Hope you’re having a good one! 🙂

My card today is super perfect as a masculine card.  You could use any sentiment for any occasion,  but…I made this one into a get-well soon kind of thing for a young friend of mine who had a very bad Thursday.  I hope it will bring him a smile for a minute.  It features the wunnermus Prairie Grass stamp set – a new Online Exclusive – and some texture from the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

I started by stamping the large grass image from the Prairie Grass set in Early Espresso ink on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crumb card cardstock.

I set the next-to-largest Textured Notes die in place and – using the bullet end of my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker – traced the rectangle onto the card stock.

I added a few little cross-marks at each corner and on the one side – just for fun.

Then I embossed the panel in the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

On a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the Prairie Grass sentiment in Early Espresso ink – then used the next-to-smallest square Stylish Shapes die to cut cut it out – cutting it as a diamond.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the sentiment over the top with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Pressed Flower Motifs embellishments and the card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped the cattails image from the Prairie Grass set in Early Espresso on another 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Then I repeated the framing – using the next-to-largest Textured Notes die and the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside a Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

The Basic White Medium Envelope got the smallest grasses image from the Prairie Grass set and a partial frame-job in Early Espresso on the front…

…and I stamped the cattails from Prairie Grass a few times on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I can think of a few stamp sets that would be lovely using this technique, can’t you?  But..I was already loving the Prairie Grass stamp set and…this card has justified that love! And the Textured Notes Dies – NOT just for DIE-CUTTING, huh!? 😉
