Stampin’ UP! Spotlight on Beautiful Gallery Blooms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to make a card that I’ve been eyeballing for a minute now – it features the Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP and the coordinating Gallery Blooms and Beautiful Motifs bundles!  Take a look-see:

And – I bet you can figure out our color challenge!

I started by cutting out a couple of Secret Sea cardstock frames using the Gallery Blooms die. I set the larger frame aside for another project.

I set the smaller frame on an angle on a piece of Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP – and lightly traced the outline with a pencil.

On an Acrylic Block, I squirted a few drops of Peach Pie Stampin’ Ink Refill and a few drops of Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Ink Refill.

Using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush as a “paintbrush”, I colored the flowers inside the sketched outline frame with the Peach Pie ink.  I cleaned the brush and colored the leaves with the Mossy Meadow ink.

When it was dry, I erased the outline and then adhered the Gallery Blooms frame into place with Liquid Glue.  Then I matted the panel on Peach Pie cardstock.

On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped the Beautiful Motifs sentiment in Secret Sea ink and cut it out with the smallest Stylish Shapes circle die.

I used more of the dies in the Gallery Blooms and Beautiful Motifs die sets to cut out some florals:

– Two small Mossy Meadow Leaves from the Gallery Blooms set.

– A Peach Pie flower from Gallery Blooms.

– A large Basic Beige flower from Beautiful Motifs.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered all the flowers in the corner of the frame.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

I added my die cut sentiment over the top with some Stampin’ Dimensionals – added five Pressed Flower Motifs and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped the Gallery Blooms flower in Secret Sea ink and colored it with the Clear Wink of Stella Brush using the Peach Pie and Mossy Meadow ink from the Acrylic Block.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Secret Sea card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gallery Blooms flower on the front…

…and more of the pretty Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP design is just the right thing for this play on the Spotlight Technique, don’t you think?!  Perfectly framed with the Gallery Blooms die cut and accented with some florals from Gallery Blooms AND Beautiful Motifs! And – I often forget to use my Clear Wink of Stella to “paint” with – it adds such a nice shimmer!
