Stampin’ Up! Sunrise Sailing Sneak Peek Congrats for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

My card for today is a loose interpretation of the sketch – with a sneak peek at the new Online Exclusive Sunrise Sailing bundle – which has a cool photopolymer stamp set and a Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!  Squint!  You’ll see it in my card!  Maybe tilt yer head…

As you can see – it’s also a great look at the new 2025-2027 In Color called Cloud Cover!

Using the Boho Blue Classic Ink Pad, I scraped it on the bottom portion of the Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder.  Tip – you want to color the DE-boss side so that the raised portion of the “ocean” is colored. 🙂

I carefully placed a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock – about 3″ x 5 3/8″ – into the folder (trying not to smear a lot of ink) and then ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

Using one of the edge dies in the Sunrise Sailing die set – I cut the top of the embossed and colored panel.  It’s…about…1 1/4″  tall.

I adhered it to the bottom of a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Cloud Cover cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from Sunrise Sailing in Boho Blue on the left side of the panel, a little less than half way up.

Using the cloud dies in the Sunrise Sailing die set, I cut out four Basic White and three Cloud Cover clouds.  I adhered the white clouds to the card front using Liquid Glue – letting some of the clouds hang over the edges.  Then I trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips.

I added the large Cloud Cover cloud with Liquid Glue and the two smaller ones with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sailboat from Sunrise Sailing in Basic Gray.  Then I added the hull detail image in Basic Gray and the sail stripes in Lemon Lolly.

I cut the sailboat out using the die in the Sunrise Sailing die set.

I set the sailboat into position on the card front and used it as a guide to stamp the little bird images from the set in Basic Gray ink.  Then I adhered the sailboat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the die in the set to cut out a bunch of birds – three each in Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Basic White cardstock.  I adhered them here and there with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Sunrise Sailing in Boho Blue on a Basic White panel.  I added the birds in Basic Gray.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Cloud Cover card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sunrise Sailing birds in Basic Gray on the front…

…and I stamped the wavy-water image from the set several times in Boho Blue on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Can’t you just hear the gulls screaming and the water swooshing against the hull of the sailboat?!  I love this new Sunrise Sailing bundle – it reminds me of a wonderful day on the water in Hawaii!!  What a fun way to send congratulations – and…it’s sort of perfect for masculine cards, too!  Boom!  Be sure to pick it up first thing on 6 May when it goes live with all the other great new Online Exclusives!
