Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia Sneak Peek Tent Fold Thanks for Creative Creases #77

Good morning – we’ve made it to Friday!  And – it’s also MARCH already.  Soon, you’ll be donning your black buckle-shoes, corning your beef, colcannonizing your cabbage – and Erining Your Braghs!!  😂

AND – it’s getting to be time to plant ZINNIAs for the birds and the bees and the butterflies!  Even sooner than you can plant them in the ground, you’re going to be able to make them with ink and cardstock – thanks to the Flowering Zinnias suite!!  It’s all part of the NEW Online Exclusives that you’re going to be able to snag on 5 March!  I used it this week to make a Tent Fold Fun Fold Card.  Take a look-see:

You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards –  at this week’s Creative Creases Challenge! We’re all about the Fun Folds and I hope you’ll come and join us!

I borrowed the layout from The Paper Players sketch challenge this week!

A tent fold is a great fun fold – it’s super easy AND it stands up really well so your recipient can oooh and ahhh with ease!

I started with a “regular”  landscape-orientation card base in Mossy Meadow.  For the front, I embossed a panel of Mossy Meadow cardstock in the new Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder – part of the suite and you’ll be able to get it on 5 March!  Then I adhered the panel to the front of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I matted two pieces of new Flowering Zinnias DSP on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Simply Zinnia sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink.  I matted the sentiment on Flirty Flamingo and popped it onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The stunning Flowering Zinnias DSP is the source for the pretty flowers on this card.  I used Paper Snips to cut them out of one of the pieces of the DSP.

I used the dies from the Simply Zinnia dies to cut out two leaves from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  I also cut three “twigs” from Old Olive Glimmer Paper (part of the Berry Burst, Old Olive and White Glimmer Paper coming on 5 March).

I adhered one of the fussy cut flowers and all the die cut pieces to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I used Glue Dots to adhere a loop-d-loop of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon (from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack).

I popped the final fussy cut flower – it had some leaves with it, too – over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a bunch of Melon Mambo Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins (coming on 5 March) and the card front was done!

For the back – I stamped a second Simply Zinnia sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Over it, I stamped the pretty zinnia in Flirty Flamingo.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and onto the back (not the inside!) of the card base.

Then – it was time to make the “tent”!

I took a 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock and scored it at 3/8″,  1 5/8″ and 2 7/8″ along the 3 1/4″ side.

I folded the 3/8″ and 2 7/8″ score lines as “valleys” and the middle score line as a “mountain”….it makes a “w” when you look at it from the end.

…then I added Liquid Glue to the small tabs.

I adhered the tent piece at the bottom of the card, between the front and back panels.  And…that was it!  Boom – tent fun fold!

Told ya – easy peasy!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Simply Zinnia on the front…

…and more of the Flowering Zinnias DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  My goodness – the Simply Zinnia bundle and coordinating Flowering Zinnias DSP are simply…stunning!  Wow!  And the accessories – the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder, Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins and Berry Burst, Old Olive & White Glimmer Paper are perfect supporting actors.  I know you’re super excited to get these – and ALL the new Online Exclusive products! – on 5 March! 😎

I hope you like!

If he had opposable thumbs….he’d be a lot more help!

I bet I could help even WITHOUT them…

Might just need to re-think the definition of “help”! 🙂
