Good Monday morning y’all! Hope you had a great weekend – ours was a little soggy. We had a chance to get a little bitty bit of work done in the garden but…not much. At least it’s hard for it to be “soggy” AND “polleny” at the same time!! At least – that’s what I’m telling myself! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
My card today is a great one that would be a great birthday card for a guy – or really ANYone who loves a slightly smirky and totally adorable rhino! Cuz the Rhino Ready stamp set – with its matching dies – brings THREE of the little boogers to life! I used a couple of them – and paired them with the Like an Animal Specialty DSP (a little “on the nose” maybe but…I thought it fit!). Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I started with some Like an Animal Specialty DSP that I matted on Evening Evergreen cardstock for the card front.
Then I cut three Stylish Shapes circles – using the three largest circle dies – from Sahara Sand cardstock. On the largest, I stamped one of the Rhino’s in Soft Suede ink.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the middle size circle to the card front. Then I added the smaller one above it with Liquid Glue (I only used the glue near the center of the circles – so I could slip the Rhino Ready die cut leaves underneath). I adhered the large circle die with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the two leaf dies from Rhino Ready – I cut out 4 (two large and two small) from Evening Evergreen cardstock and four from Soft Succulent Fine Shimmer Paper.
Using Liquid Glue, I tucked leaves in and about the three die circles – with the final two adhered to the top of the largest circle.
I tied a little bow from Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Sahara Sand, I stamped the Rhino Ready sentiment in Soft Suede ink and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes label die.
Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment to the card front.
I added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment and rhino from the Rhino Ready set in Soft Suede ink on a Very Vanilla panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into my Sahara Sand card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Rhino in Soft Suede on the front…
…and more Like an Animal Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila. Now – in real life, I feel pretty sure rhinos aren’t as friendly as these cuties in the Rhino Ready bundle – but…I’m willing to suspend my disbelief cuz of how cool the bundle is for making cards! And – I do love the quiet sides of the Like an Animal Specialty DSP like I’ve used here – but there’s ALSO the flip side with uber-pretty foiled versions of the same design!! Something for every taste and project!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Finn abdicated his spot today. Our FFF has gone to the birds!
This little guy was perched on the garden flag outside the other day!
And then a much brighter visitor last night!
But…this one was fun.
We have Ring cameras out at the barn so we can keep an eye on the girls and the barn. Yesterday afternoon, my phone chimed to let me know there was movement in the camera aimed at Cady’s stall.
Well – Cady and Cerah were out in the pasture so…I figured it was our kitty visitor. But…I was wrong!!
Hello the HOUSE!!
I feel like someone is watching me…
Maybe they’d like the full view!
Not sure what kind he is – I THINK he’s a bluebird-of-happiness, but…this was for sure one of the coolest things that camera has captured!! ❤️❤️❤️
