Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a great wide open sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I am having too much fun picking out new goodies – all coming on 5 Jan 2023! – from my shelves to play with and today, my eye landed on the new Sweet Citrus bundle with its juicy images and sweet sentiments, plus the cool Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Then I added some more Dandy Designs DSP (this is an AMAZEBALLS and HUGE pack of gorgeous paper that you’ll be able to pick up for FREE with a $100 purchase during the Jan – Feb 2023 Sale-a-Bration!). Take a look-see:
And here’s our sketch!
I started by stamping the front of a Balmy Blue card base with the little three-flower image from the Sweet Citrus stamp set in Balmy Blue ink.
Next, I matted some Dandy Designs DSP on Daffodil Delight and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
I stamped a sentiment from Sweet Citrus in Balmy Blue on a strip of Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the lemons outline and then the fill images in Daffodil Delight ink. The lemons are all on a single stamp – so you get four images at once! The fill images are the same! 🙂
I also stamped the little three-flower image again – twice – in Daffodil Delight and the leaves – twice! – in Granny Apple Green. Then I used the dies in the bundled Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder to cut everything out! As you can see from the picture above – the flowers all cut at once and so do the lemons!
I adhered all the leaves and lemons with Liquid Glue. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere a couple of the flowers and Liquid Glue for the remainder.
I added some new Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins – I used the Balmy Blue and Petal Pink ones – here and there on the card front. Then – some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the middle of each flower seemed like the right thing to do! And…the card front was done! 🙂
On the inside, I stamped a second Sweet Citrus sentiment in Balmy Blue on a Basic White panel and then added just the half-lemon in Daffodil Delight ink.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into the Balmy Blue card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the two-step half lemon on the front…
…and more of the Dandy Designs DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I know we’re just barely into winter but…this Sweet Citrus stamp set – and bundled Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder makes you ready for Spring and Summer, doesn’t it?! The lemon images are just perfect – they look like you could pick them up and squeeze out some tart juice! And this plaid in the Dandy Designs DSP is so pretty – as are, really, ALL of the designs in the pack!
I hope you like!
