Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Frames Brightest Beauty Card

Good morning good morning and welcome to the brink of the weekend!  Do you have some fun plans?  We’re going to do a little tidying this weekend – Wayne doesn’t know it yet and it’s likely to be traumatic (Goodwill is involved and that just hurts him to his core).  So…think good thoughts for him making it thru a little…purging! 😉

I’ve got a cool little card for you today – I’d call it clean-and-simple!  Since we didn’t get a chance to make it together yesterday, I took a minute (literally!) to put together a short little video on how to make it – the link will be at the end!

I used the Brightest Beauty stamp set to create a very summer-y card (as opposed to the more Fall-like card I made with it before – you can see THAT one right here!).  And I pulled out the amazing Fabulous Frames die set (an a la carte set from the Annual Catalog), too.  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Frames Brightest Beauty Card

Right?  Clean and crisp and summer-y!

The color palette has a lot to do with that – and it’s from The Paper Players color challenge this week!

I started by adhering a piece of Tahitian Tide paper from the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of my Tahitian Tide card base using Liquid Glue.

I placed a piece of Basic White cardstock in the Stamparatus and used it to stamp the two-step image from Brightest Beauty.  First I stamped the berries/flowers in Tahitian Tide.  Then I used the second plate to add the leaves and stems in Parakeet Party.

Note:  if you have any issues with “bubbly” images when you stamp – know that that is a “thing” with some stamps and some of our colors (it’s a chemical make-up thing, I think).  If you see it – ink your pad and then use a Sponge Dauber (with the same color ink on it) to tap-tap-tap all over the stamp before you stamp your cardstock.  That ought to fix it for you! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the front of the card base.

I cut the largest frame from the Fabulous Frames dies in Basic White and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it over the art panel.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Brightest Beauty sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes label die.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – and a little Liquid Glue – I adhered it to the card front.

I added a couple of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the sentiment label.

I wanted to keep it clean-and-simple ALL THE WAY but…I just HAD to add some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

And that was it for the card front.   I mean – it’s PRETTY clean-and-simple…right?!? 😉

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Brightest Beauty in Tahitian Tide on a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped the texture image from the set in stamped-off-once Parakeet Party.  Then I added a Brushed Brass Butterfly! 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and then into the Tahitian Tide card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the texture image from Brightest Beauty in full-strength Parakeet Party on the front…

…and more of the Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Frames Brightest Beauty Card

Et Voila!  I do LOVE this Brightest Beauty stamp set – even without using the bundled Golden Beauty dies!!  It’s so pretty and – as you can see – pretty stinkin’ versatile!  Don’t forget the a la carte dies – like the Stylish Shapes and Fabulous Frames sets – in the Annual Catalog – they’re real “workhorses” for your crafting projects!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn has been right all this time.

Figments ARE real!! 😳😳😳

AND – they ARE invisible to all but canines!

We got proof the other day.

Figment-prints.

What we’re not TOO sure of is…are these the prints of ONE quad-pedal figment?  Or….TWO bi-pedal figments?  Does anyone even KNOW if figments have two legs or four?

GASP – what if they only have ONE leg and this is an entire frappe of figments!? I Googled it – that’s what a group of figments is called.  A frappe.

It’s still a mystery wrapped in a conundrum….only dogs know for sure – and Finn ain’t talkin’!  Pretty sure it’s in the dog-code.

But – he IS vindicated!!
